I have an indoor cat that gets bored a lot. I can't let him out like my other cat because he is blind. Do you know of any toys that a blind indoor cat would enjoy?
I already have a scratching post and another toy where he can spin around a ball and scratch his claws in the middle. I also have various balls that he can roll around (he appears to have grown bored of these though).

I have another cat that he can play with and two other dogs, so he does not get lonely.

Thanks for your suggestion Little B, but I would like to remind you of one thing, HE IS BLIND. The laser pen will do nothing.

He does love catnip. My family just bought him and my other cat a big case of cosmic catnip. It is the best kind I have been able to find so far. They go nuts over it.

Hi. I have a 10 year old blind cat. He still tries to play with regular toys. I guess he can hear when I play with one of my other 2 cats and he seems to have no trouble playing along, say, if I have a wand toy that has a mouse dangling from it. One of my cats really LOVES pipe cleaners and I leave them down all of the time for my 3 cats. Also, the blind one does love catnip toys and will play with them if I give them to him or he finds one around the house.

Lots of toys, but to save money get a pair of socks and make them into a ball throw down hallway, the cat should chase and may bring back. Elastic bands are another suggestion, ping them towards a wall and the cat should chase, I have an indoor cat and she loves these. Cardboard box to hide in and some cheap tunnels stitched into one.

I just bought my cat a toy from Petsmart. It's a big yellow mouse that has a fuzzy catnip ball hanging on it's tail. When you turn it on, the tail flings the ball in every which direction! I understand that your cat is blind, but you could set it to low, and the ball stays low to the ground. My cat loves it, she broke her's though...

Hmm, not sure what a blind cat would like. The plastic rings off a gallon of milk make good toys. My cats love those!

I found this little cat toy at Wal-mart that makes electronic bird chirps, it's a little stuffed bird with marbled coloring.

Try this:

My cat loves it and he ignores all other catnip toys. This one is much more potent.

I agree with one answer,... anything with CAT N I P in it or try something with a "crinkley" sound (like cellophane or paper balls),..or bells.
I admire your consideration and kindness to your kitty!
Gd. luck.
