im no very old, but i can easily prove that i am responsible to take care of a cat all by myself. my mom thinks that after the excitement wears off, shes gonna end up taking care of it. She wants a dog, and 4 members in my family are allergic. i looked up all of these allergey shampoos and filters, so that problem was solved, but they still dont want one. weprobably have enough money to get one, but they still dont let me have my own cat. im just annoyed because i dont exactly have any friends at school and all of my other 8 siblings pick on me and im the middle child. PLEASE ANSWER!

Yesturday I called my cat dudderbuttles instead of atkins when I was getting it's favorite soft cat food and he still came to me. Do you think that the cat now thinks it is also named dudderbuttles? And if so how do I fix it?

I have been seeing blood drops near our male cats litter box and basically anywhere he sits for any length of time. It's new (within the last two weeks or so) and he doesn't seem to be in any pain. ie. meowing and such. Could it be a urinary tract infection? He's just over a year old and basically an indoor cat. (unless he escapes out the front door on an occasion) He's had new food for the past month or so. Could it be that simple?

I recently go my long haired cat groomed and clipped at the vet because he kept retaining clumps of hair. When I brought him home my other cat (which they have been together and friends for 2 years) turned on him. He would chase and attack to the point we had to separate them for 1 or 2 weeks. They finally got over it. I would like to get my cat groomed again in the future but if it causes this type of problems its not worth it. Any solutions for this behavior??

My cat, Fang, has recently been diagnosed with CRF. The vet told me that she had a few days to live...that was four days ago. She seems to be doing better, but I'm still very worried. Her temp is 98.9 and she is lying on a heating pad for much of the day. She is still playing a little. I have recently switched her food to Hill's K/D wet, mixed with a little stinky A/D. She has been eating, peeing, pooping and drinking. Also, she has a history of recurrent UTI's, for which she was on C/D for about a year. Does anyone know how long cats can live like this? Is there anything else I can do to make her more comfortable?

so that ordaments don't tip over and break and water doesn't spill, also so that it stands up and doesn't fall over.

I just flew my cat Mr. Bigglesworth from Texas to New York. He's always hated driving, but flying was pretty traumatic for him I think. He is staying in my room for now. He is happy when I pet him and acts normal - but for the past 3 days he still won't eat any food ( he is drinking). He is also normally an extremely social and friendly cat ... but when my roommates come in he won't stop meowing and hissing.

There are 2 other cats in the apartment (they never come in my room). He has lived with other cats and dogs before and I know it will take a while for them all to get used to each other. But these cats aren't even in the room (and my roommates wash their hands) and he still goes crazy hissing and meowing when they come in. He's never been like that around people before.

How can I get him to start eating?

How can I get him to stop hissing?

How long will it take for him to adjust/ be himself?

I got my cat as a former stray from the SPCA 3 yrs ago and she got along well with my boyfriend until we got married over a month ago and he moved in (prior to that, he visited on weekends). Since one week before the wedding she started hissing at him and hasn't stopped. She bit him once, too. It is obvious she is jealous, but what should we do? The current situation is torture both for us and for her. We are thinking of sending her back to the SPCA, especially now that it is the holidays - maybe her chances of re-adoption into a good home will be high.

Ok so I'm taking in this swee little stray cat. Im having all his vaccinations and neutering, grooming, etc. I called the vet to ask prices and stuff and they told me he'll have to be tested for Feline HIV/AIDS and Leukemia before he can be vaccinated!

What should I expect? Is it highly likely or unlikely he'll have it? Im am very worried! And if he does what should I expect? Like treatments and money-wise? Also how long do they live with these things and are they curable? What does it do to them? What is it?

My Cat had a small tent that he would walk in and out of
he loved it he would hide in it and I'd put a string in front of it and he'd attack it he destroyed his tent he poked all kinds of holes in it I had to throw it out last night because the metal parts that hold the tent up were sticking out and the way he jumped and tackled it he might have injured himself.

I feel bad because he really loved his tent and he's looking for it today someone gave it to me for $2 does anyone where they sell them online?

Please help!, My kitten is like 7 weeks old. I just got him about a week ago and put him on moist kitten food. However his stomach seems to make this really profound noise similar to the sound of a helicopter, not as loud of course. When I hold him I can feel his stomach vibrating when this noise occurs. He doesn't seem too bothered about it, he's just aware its happening and tries to get comfortable hoping it would stop.

Is this something I should be worried about?

I haven't taken him to the vet yet as I just got him last week, he also seems to itch quite often but not excessively.

Please help, do you think something might be wrong with him?

Thanks in advance

The mother cat has been rescued, we indeed to foster her til the kittens are adoptable, (if she's indeed pregnant) but I've been told it could be worms as she lived outside it appears, yet she's friendly.
