The mother cat has been rescued, we indeed to foster her til the kittens are adoptable, (if she's indeed pregnant) but I've been told it could be worms as she lived outside it appears, yet she's friendly.

I would suggest a visit to the vet. This little mother needs to have a check up to see if she does need any medical attention and if she is pregnant. The cat is friendly so she has been around people, there is no way to tell if she has had any of her shots, etc. Thank you for saving her.

This is a tough one to figure out. The belly could be hard due to a lot of things. An easy way to figure it out is to hold the cat and see if there is movement in the belly. Otherwise it could be hairballs or something else.

It could be worms, or pregnancy sometimes it's hard to tell. You should probably take her to the vet to find out either way. If it is worms, having her be that badly infested with them can be deadly. If she's pregnant it's always good to know, and you can be better prepared for the delivery.
