Hi, I have a 14 yr. old Tabby (who is my world) She snuk out about 1.5 hours ago and will not come out from beneath the house ours then the neighbors. We moved here about 9 mos. ago. I have tried everything to get her to come in. Any suggestions? I have tried tuna and a laser light. She just sits and meaows and when I go to get her she hisses and runs. I am so afraid she will not find her way home or get hurt. She's very petite and little. Should I leave her for the night? Do you think she will come back? I do have a tag on her w/ my number. I am absolutly going crazy. Should i sleep w/ the front door cracked? Please anything will help!

Thanks

More specifically, exactly how does it affect cats?, Are there other animals that would feel its effects? How about humans?

Hey I have F cat about 3-4 years. She keeps going over to the litter box but very little/no urine is coming out. She doesn't seem like she is any pain when she is/trying to go. She is still eating all her food at her meals and sleeps and plays like normal. I am suspecting a bladder infection/blockage but the fact that she is not in any pain is making me wonder. I've just noticed this habit today and if after tomorrow she is still doing it I was going to take her to the vet. My question is if there is any other thing that could be wrong with her (with her not having any pain when she is trying to go) apart from a bladder infection? I like to be prepared and do some of my own research before going to the vet.

My cat, Sammy, is almost 19. The last year or so, his health has really gone downhill. He's peeing outside the box, is constipated, and dehydrated even though he drinks water constantly. He has also lost a lot of weight even though he's been eating normally. He hasn't been as affectionate and doesn't sleep with me at night very much anymore. All he seems to do is eat, drink, and sleep in his little cat tent. The vet said his liver and kidneys are in bad shape. I could bring him in for a few days for some IVs, but in a couple of months he could be right back where he is now. I had my other cat put to sleep a few years ago and it was very traumatizing. I don't know if I can go through it again. I'm 30 years old and have had him since I was 11...just the thought of being without him is agonizing. I guess I just want someone to tell me I'd be doing the right thing by putting him down....any advice would be appreciated.

It's a shorthair with a blue coat, I think. Also, the ears are generally folded over. I can't seem to find an information on this cat at all and I think they're sooo cute. D:

my 5 year old cat has been lethargic, & not really eating or drinking for the last 3 weeks. I've taken him to my vet, they tested him for Feline HIV, leukemia, ran blood test and still have no answers! He's been there three days, my bill is getting bigger and bigger....what do I do?? I want him better but can't spend a whole lot more on VET bills!

My cat pooped on my counter. Is there anything I can use to keep him off of it? Smelly stuff? Yelling at him is useless, as he is deaf. The next time he does it he's out, and I really don't want to do that.

My cat is a real talker and he's very loud. He belows almost, and he won't stop unless I'm giving him constant attention. I've tried to hold him and pet him to calm him down in hopes that he would go to sleep but he doesn't. Instead he just jumps out of my arms and walks all over the house meowing more and more. I live in an apartment and I'm really afraid that my neighbors will complain about it. Is there anything that I can do to stop this from happening because I don't want to have to get rid of him. Oh and he is neutered so I don't think he's calling out to the females. He did only get neutered about 6 - 8 weeks ago so maybe he hasn't had enough time for the hormones to subside. Any advice would be great. Thanks in advance.

She sleeps all day and runs around all night.
Will catnip calm her down or make her act crazier.

While I was taking a shower my cat sneaked into the bathroom. When I stepped out of the shower I noticed my cat was there and quickly covered up, but never the less it saw me in all of my naked glory. Is this wrong? Will they take my cat away from me if anyone finds out?

I was just sitting here, minding my own business when my brai went in to "weird mode" (well, ok, weirdER mode) and I was thinking about deaf animals. if they were sleeping, they really couldn't hear things around them.

I have 4 cats and the oldest is 10. Every year they all get the works on shots. Wondering if this is needed, of course the vets will tell you it is........

I have a kitten and my roommates have a puppy. We are having issues with the animals being around each other because the puppy is chasing the kitten non stop. When the kitten is on the ground, the puppy will pin the kitten down and play very rough, sometimes pulling on the kitten. The kitten is learning to get to higher grounds to avoid the puppy though. Even though the kitten is on higher grounds, the puppy still goes nuts and obsesses over the kitten by trying to jump on the furniture to get to the kitten. It is starting to damage our furniture, and it is getting really old fast. Its to the point where its a bother to have them in the same room. Soooooo I was told that squirt bottles are a good method for behavior training. But then I did some further research online, and some people are highly against it. I was hoping to get more opinions or another method that will work.

I currently have one who's known to be pretty evil - she doesn't even like me and I feed her. I'm taking two one year old cats of my daughter since she's joining the military as an officer. How in the world do I get the current one use to the two new ones to the home?

I told a coworker how the kittens were all girls and she said it was very rare for litters to be all of one gender. Is this true?
