So sorry you lost a pet. Whenever we'd lose a pet we would bury it in our backyard. If we couldn't do that we would go out into the woods and bury it.

If you decide on placing your pet in your backyard be sure to make a deep hole and mark the area with rocks or something when you're done. You don't want to accidentally make a discovery later.

Some, not myself, get it stuffed to keep it around as a reminder of great times. Most, like me, buried it in the yard, or gave it to the vet to have his remains disposed of properly. A friend of mine has a small urn of her kitty on her fireplace.

If you lost a pet I'm sorry for lose and wish you well through the recovery.

Call a veterinarian, and ask them to have the animal cremated. You can also have the animals ashes returned. To cremate costs money, and more so if you want the ashes returned.
You could also bury the animal in your garden, but I'm pretty sure it's illegal.

you're supposed to get it burried in a pet cemetary. But i wouldn't bother with all that. bury it in the back yard. of if you don't have one, and if it's a small pet, like a hamster, just throw it away. That's supposed to be illegal for hygenic reasons, but i don't see why -- You throw awya half-eaten burgers, right? it's just more meat now.

The best way, in my opinion, is to call the vet or take your pet to the vet to have them put him/her to rest properly.

Bury it in the backyard. Mourn your loss. Put up a tombstone.

Any vet clinic or animal shelter can take the body and dispose of it for you--most use cremation.
