I gave 2 of my kittens to somebody I don t know much about. But a friend said it would be ok. I saw them yesterday and they look poorly fed. They are 6 months old, and they ve been away from me for 3 weeks. Should I try and get them back. What should I tell the owners? Help, please.

They told me they still want them. They tried to make me believe they treat them well, but that-s not what I saw. They used to be very lively, not they act depressed if you know what I mean. They recognized me instantly, and came to my arm. This is really heart breaking.

Why don't you call them just to check up on the kittys. Tell them if they don't want them that you would love to have them back. Then give them to someone who will take better care of them.

I like the answer that Sheilake has given and that is to call and just say you are calling to see how everyone is doing. This will give them an opportunity to say that they made a mistake or ask questions they may have about the care and you may be able to voice your concerns about them as well. This way it is done in a friendly non threatening way.
Also I do have to ask if you have had mommy neutered and if not beg you to get that done asap

Well, First of all, if the kitten is poorly feed you can try to talk to the owner and ask if they have been feeding it. If you are for sure they are not taking care of it you can call the animal shelter and they will do something about it. You can also see if you can get your money back or ask for it back. Whatever you decide will be the best decision will be the best for you and your kitten.!

aw, take them back! Those kittens deserve better or they'll die. As an excuse make up the vet found a disease that may harm humans and the cost to cure it is expensive. If that doesn't work, tell them the truth, describe your feeelings and emotions. good-luck!

Talk to the owners or if that doesn't work....
"What should I do if I witness an animal being mistreated?
If you witness animal abuse or neglect, please contact your local humane society, animal shelter, or animal control agency immediately. In most areas, those agencies have the authority to enforce state and local laws related to animals and the capability to investigate and resolve these situations. They rely on concerned citizens to be their eyes and ears in the community and to report animal suffering. You can choose to remain anonymous, although giving your name to your humane agency will enable that group to follow up with you when necessary."

ask first if they are sick. Then ask what they are feeding them. Ask if they dont want the cats anymore. If they dont. Take them back and give them to a shelter. They work hard to find responsible owners and you wont have to worry about them.

You can ask for them back, or offer $$ for them. BUT, if they do not want to give them back, you are out of luck. Hope the mom is spayed so this won't happen again!!!
