Some neigbor kids did something to one of the strays on our street. We think that they put a firecracker into the cat and lit it because we heard a mufled "pop" and then seen the cat run underneath the floor of an outdoor shed. We can hear it crying under there, it sounds really weird and hurt. Will it come out? If they did put it in its bum will it die?

I'm thinking its scared because his/her brother/sister is gone! ( i dnot know if they are a b or a g) I worried all it does it cry and wine like it sick, dieing, desprete, or worried. What should i do? I don't want to call the humain siciety, because they will just take it and put it up for adoption. IT SCARED AND WORRIED. He's eating and drinking fine but i think it might be a little infected as i think there is puss, however when i try to look he goes a bit mental but he is often like this. He's fine in himself no changes in behaviour or anything. His teeth are also really weird, theyre all chipped and knocked about, and some of the teeny little cute ones they have at the front and wonky and rooted higher up the gum, he's always been like that tho. So shall i book him an appointment or is it just like when get an ulcer, will it heal itself?

My cat has had this probblem for a while--he is about 5 and was tested for everything under the sun last year but came up with no problems. (Atleast the vet found nothing) He goes through these phases where he vomits constantly, drinks lots of water --then is normal again. Anyone have any ideas?

I think her previous owner was feeding her human food. Also her elimination is very poor. What can I do?

Is there anything that can be done to prevent my new kitten from developing this horrible illness? From his teeth the infection got to his jaw and then to his kidneys. I was up and down the vets like a yo yo and it is a horrible thing to see your cat suffer from.

My cat was intensively vomotting over the several weeks. When we brought him to the vet, his weight was down to 5.8 from 7.5 Blood test showed that white cell count was twice the norm. He was put on antibiotic, the first day after using it, our cat stopped throwing up and gained some weight. His behavior was almost back to normal. In a week a blood test showed increase in white cell count. X-ray was not too clear, except it showed a lot of gas and possibly a foreign body. He was sent for ultrasound and they concludedhe had a tumor in his intestines. They prescibed him a stronger antibiotic and schedulled him for a biopsy and if operable, then surgery. Is it the best way to? They said we shoud hurry up. Should we do anything before all this scary stuff? Second opinion? My cat is only 7 years old. Please help. We are schedulled to bring him on Monday, August 20, 2007

I've had my new cat for a couple months now and I think she has lost her trust in me after having her spayed. She was just warming up to me, sitting in my lap for short moments and following me around the house before I took her to the vet to be spayed. Now after having to spend a night at the vets, and having me force her mouth open to put a pill in twice a day for two weeks she is not the same cat.

Is there a chance that she will revert back to being the same kind of cat she was with the her first owner. I have always been very gentle with her even when giving her the pills. I am trying to take it slow and not forcing anything and giving her a lot of space and playing with her several times a day. Any other suggestions?

Can cats change that easy? People tell me just give it time, but I'm wondering what the average time it is for a year old cat to get over all these new changes in her life?

My cat skit recently has shown some oddness to her eyes. When the pupils become large, like when she's playful, the right pupil is oval shaped but the right is perfectly round. Does this sound neurological to you, or is it just because she got something in it the other day. Should I take her to a vet? The eye doesn't bother her anymore and if it's neurological we can't afford to treat it.

Suddenly, they are no where to be found and the mother does not seem concerned and is acting as normal. My mother and I have looked everywhere and we are scared that they may be dead. They are old enough to repsond to us but we have heard nothing. I've been trying to find them, crying etc. I know sometimes they hide their litters but why can't we hear them mewing??! Why would a mother cat kill 5 week old kittens! :( PLEASE HELP!

We just found out our 1 year old cat has bladder stones. We found them by accident when she was x-rayed for a possible broken bone. The vet wants us to wait on diagnosis and treatment until our cat has healed from some soft tissue damage for fear she will be too stressed. I know diet can help in some cases. She currently eats Innova dry food. Is there anything I can be doing righ now to help her until she sees the vet again?

I adopted a cat a month ago and found out on Monday that she has ringworm. I am waiting for her oral medication to arrive, but in the meantime is it safe to use Lamisil on her ears and tail, where the ringworm is present? I am covered in ringworm patches and using Lamisil so thought it might help her a little until her oral medication arrives. Is it safe, if I rub it in all the way and monitor her licking on those areas?

okay, here's the deal. I have three cats. Two of them are brothers and are both orange on top and white underneath. THeir names are HOMER and JETHRO.

I also have a gray tiger cat, male, who is about a year old, and the poor guy hasn't had a name yet. I just call him "gray cat".

I'm in between homes at the moment and me and my two male cats are staying with my best friend and her baby, husband and new puppy, my cats play withn there cat and avoid the baby but when the puppy came my dominant cat (my baby) started leaving large 'suprises' on the main bathroom rug, he's not loosing control and missing his box, he purposely waits so I can see him go in there and goes to the other side of the room, i've put in in 'time out' in his carrier for about five minutes when i catch him, ( he makes sure that i know) any other ideas
thanks

Soo I just got my cat back a few days ago....and I have NEVER ever seen any ashes at all human or animal. I guess I just expected them to be more ashy...? Instead they are like ashes but have some like little rock pieces in them. Is this normal...?

My 2 year old cat loves catnip. Afterwards though, he is mean as a snake. So, he rarely gets it. But, does anyone have any idea why it has such an adverse affect on him. My other cat has no ill affects afterwards.
