I have 2 cats and can't feed them separately. I try playing with the older one (4 1/2 yrs.)but she's not all that interested. The young cat (3 yrs.) is very active and her weight is fine. Do you have any ideas on how to get her interested in moving around? She doesn't eat a lot. Please help.

Ok my cats got all their shots and spayed yesterday and the oldest one is fine.

When i brought them home the baby wouldnt even get out of the kennel i took the top off and the door but i was like she couldnt get up to walk around ... i thought/think it was cuz of the drugs im pretty sure she just slept all night and not today she seems really spaced out and just kinda aimlessly walks around ... right now she walked over to the food dish and hasnt moved for 10-15 mins ... she is just sitting there looking at the wall she doesnt respond to my voice and she just doesnt want to be near me or my other cat ( when usually i cant get her away). She wont sleep and she wont touch her food. but she is have mine. Is this all Normal or should i take her back to the vet?!

Thanks for your help.

I know it sounds weird, but my cat likes it. He likes it when you smack him on the butt. He'll start purring and cooing and he'll start rolling around on the floor. Is this normal? It's almost like its a "cheap thrill" for him.

In April me and my boyfriend broke up. Before that he and my cat were really close. Needless to say after the breakup my boyfriend wasnt around much. Anyways, we have since gotten back togethere. My cat wont deal with my boyfriend at all, now. And he down right hates my room mate but every time my boyfriend is around my cat is all up under my roommate. Its cute. He also acts like this towards me when I dont come home until morning and then when I feed him we are buddies again. So, is he trying to tell us something?

Ive never had a cat before, but i adopted my male 7 month old tom cat ( Telouze we have named him) from my neighbor who is moving. At first i didnt let him out cos i was scared of him geting lost and confused..new house etc...but the more i have him i dont want to let him out..i dont want to risk losing him, him being knocked down ( there is a main road bottom of my street)..i dont want him victim to all the dangers outside...
ive read up on the internet, and im booking him in for neuturing and microchipping and his jabs.We play with him and my kids play with him so i dont think he is bored. I would rather keep him safe , what is everyones opinions on this, and do any of you have indoor cats?

I have a five-month old sister and brother who have recently been spayed and nuetered. They are inseparable and I figured they'd look after each other.

We rescued 2 out of 3 kittens, now there's the 3rd one, it is in the center of a drainpipe in the ground. We baited food in the openings, barred a doorway, but they didn't work. What else??

My cat has an allergy, we think it might be to his litter (clay gravel). He's been itching his ears without end. We already tried the special food and he continues to itch his ears frantically, but once we changed his litter the itching seemed to slow down.
More recently, he was itching a bit more by his eyes and has a raw area around one eye where he's scatched off the hair and made the skin red and raw.
My questions are; has anyone else had a cat allergic to litter? and what can I treat the raw area around his eye with that will help it heal, prevent infection and not sting when I put it on? With it so close to his eye I don't want to use anything too stringent. So far I've only been dabbing it with a cool wet washcloth to take the itch out.

(If it isn't the litter he is allergic to then we are totally stumped as to what it could be. He's an indoor cat and his contact to things is pretty limited) Thanks for any help!

I know that cats cannot have milk with lactose in it because it's not good for their digestive system but if I gave my cat lactose free milk, would that be as bad?
