He had a rabies vaccine last night. He is 19! He seemed fine last night, but today he is walking around gingerly. When I pet his leg he flinches like in pain.

I have a 9 week old kitten and he keeps biting and biting at my arms and ankles. I know that it is my fault because before we had any toys for him we used our fingers and toes but now he just won't stop!! I try to bat his nose, distract him or give him a firm "no!" and he just is zeroed in on me. I do own other toys but nothing seems to work. I will try a spray bottle but only as a last resort. I do have another kitten on the way but I don't get him until the first week of July because he tested positive for feline leukemia, don't worry he will test negative because both of his parents are negative. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!

Let me describe: they are small, they weigh 200 gram each. Their eyes are open, and I guess they can see, but they walk unsteadily to random directions. They just scream for food, and drink milk from a bottle, but they need their behind wiped to pee or poop. They sleep close to each other the rest of the time. Their teeth have just started coming out, but they don't eat or even drink from a dish. Does this sound like 3 weeks old or 2 weeks old?

I took him to the vet yesterday because he may have a bladder infection. They said by law they have give him a rabies vaccine. I was hesitant because of his age but then agreed to it. He was fine last night, but this morning he is very lethargic when he tries to walk. He sometimes limps on the leg that the vaccine was given.

I have just seen someone trying to sell five week old kittens on ebay, so I sent them an email asking if they realised kittens shouldn't be re-homed until they are at least 8 weeks old, and reported them to ebay for breaking the rules - would you have done the same thing?

A week ago or so I started hand feeding them kitten dry food after I had added a little water to make it soft. They hardly ate it, so I switched to kitten wet food. They loved it, and they started eating by themselves inmediately. But now that they are 7 weeks they refuseto eat their kittens dry food. I read somewhere that it isn't good for their teeth to keep eating wet food, so I've decided they are better off eating dry food. Any thoughts?

I just compared the ingredients from the prescription food and they are almost exactly the same as the Purina Pro Plan Urinary Care. The prescription food from the vet is also Purina. The first ingredient in both foods are Corn gluten meal and the only other difference is that one is beef and the other is chicken. Also one has zinc oxide and the other is zinc sulfate. Other than that it's basically the same. But there is a big price difference.

i just got a kitten, already learned about the litter box.

(just a bit of info on his background)
his mother suddenly rejected him so my friend gave it to me.

hes about 6-7 weeks old.

what should i do about his health care?
what should i ask for when i go to the vet for the first time?
do i need to do some sort of overall checkup besides the vaccines?

i worry because i think he breathes really fast as he sleeps(am i overeacting?)

any help would be apreciated.
thanks.

Hey, my cat has been acting sickly all day. I'm taking him to the vet tomorrow, but I was just wondering if anyone has any ideas about what's going on. It's hard to explain but he just acts very tired and uncomfortable. Almost like he's in pain. He's sleeps a lot more than he usually does and just isn't interested in anything. I can barely even get him to purr. He squints a lot and is drooling clear spit around his mouth. Not a lot, but a little.

a vet? Do you think that they will charge me a lot since it is a wild kitten? I just can't stand to see a little helpless thing be sick. I think it has worms. Should I maybe find some medicine at the pet store, since I can't afford a big vet bill?

I took care of a kitten for about 6 days and unknowingly to me, he had fleas. I found this out after the fact. His owner had given him a flea bath prior to me watching him but it did not kill all of them. My question is will my house become infested now or do I need to just do a good cleaning and washing?

ok, me friend just got a kitten. its like 9 or 10 weeks old now. she had a cat before but it ran away. i think that she doesnt really know how 2 take care or it cuz she bathed it with HUMAN shampoo. wen she told me that i was like wtf u cant do that. she was like y? i was like r u kidding me! theres a reason they make cat shampoo. plus she didnt feed it any water till i told her she had to. just milk. i was like omg it'll get dehydrated. ontop of that they make the kitten live OUTSIDE. like not even in the garage. even at night it sleeps outside. and when i tell her stuff its like she doesnt even listen. i told her 2 buy cat shampoo like 2 weeks ago and she still didn't. i don't know what to do. she's like my best friend. i dont want her 2 get mad at me but at the same time i feel really bad for the kitten. its just a baby and it lives outside? ugh help!!!
