They are creatures of habit. But I always put a little bit of butter on their paws and round their mouth when they get to their new house. Apparantly, and i don't know if it really does work, but apparently they they wash the butter and the smell of the old place away.

yes you should keep them in for 10 days then i was told by someone to put butter on there paws i did this and my cat is 14 years old now so it worked
