I really do think that it is okay for them to keep on eating wet food.

Hi have you tried mixing a small amount of dry kitten food with the wet food? if this works slowly work on adding more dry food and a bit less wet food until you get them totally off of the wet stuff. It might take a while but I did it with my cats whom used to eat dry and canned food in the morning and dry food at night it only took a few days to wean them off of the canned food. It could take longer because they are younger and might like the wet stuf better. Your other option is to go cold turkey keep them off of canned food and offer them dry food and water when they get hungry they will eat the dry food. I have done that before as well with my cats after a day or so they ate the dry stuff once they got hungry and realized that was all they were going to get to eat besides some treats. Hope this helps you!

There are different thoughts on this. Some vets prefer wet food, while others say dry is best. Many people now think wet is best because it contains water, and cats don't drink a lot.
You have been given some good advice. Mixing the dry with a little water is a good idea, and the weaning them towards dry food is, too.
Good luck!

Not unusual at all. Put a bowl of dry in there along with the moistened, when all of the kittens eat the dry, you can stop putting in the wet. Always have clean water available too, you will find they start to drink it as they taper off the wet food. Use a good quality kitten food for the extra calcium and other nutrients needed for growth.

They're too young for dry kitten food. Moisten it with warm water or broth. You can moisten it less and less as they get older and have stronger jaws.
There is some debate as to whether dry or wet food is better for a cat's teeth, but in any case they will lose their kitten teeth and cut their permanent teeth in the next few months.

Don't worry about their teeth, soft food is just fine, besides these teeth are only there until they are 6 months old, then they change teeth like children. Try feeding them Royal Canin Baby cat or Weaning. These foods are in very small and not too hard pieces, and they contain ingredients necessary for kittens. And kittens usually like them.

Thier teeth may not be grown in enough to be fully capable to chew the dry food. The food may be to big and it might hurt their gums. It should not be to much longer that they can eat dry food but right now they probably just have a tender baby mouth and need soft food.

Mix water, the wet food and the dry together, and gradually put less wet food in the mix. Gradually reduce the water in the dry until they are only eating dry.
Good Luck!!!!

I would suggest slowly mixing the dry food with the wet food. Slowly add more and more of the dry and less of the wet.

When I got my kitty I was told to feed him wet food until he was 4 months old. I tryed to feed him dry food and he would not eat it. I actually heard the opposite of what you heard. I was told that the dry food will hurt their teeth if eaten to soon!

You could wean them off the wet food by slowly putting in larger amounts of dry food with it eventually working to the point where they have no wet food.
