If your cat has been in the tree for 5 days continuously, you can try to open a can of tuna to encourage it to come down. If that does not work, call the local fire dept or animal control to get it. By now the cat is tired, scared, hungry and dehydrated and may need their assistance even after it comes down from the tree. Good Luck

Can you still see the cat?
Try getting some Fancy Feast cat food. It's the smelliest wet food there is. Heat it up some to make it even more smelly, and place it at the bottom of the tree.
If the cat doesn't come down soon after, call your fire department. Yes, they will help get your cat out of the tree. My dad is a firefighter and has done this for people.
When you get your cat, you should take it to a vet. 5 days without food or water is a very very long time and your cat could be very sick. The vet might keep it for a couple of days.
Good luck!

I know that if a cat was stuck up in a tree for that long and I drove down the road to the fire department and asked them if they would help, they would help!
The fire department does a lot more than what people realize and it gives them something to do on a slow day to get out of the station!
If this was my cat stuck in a tree, I would have called a few days ago to ask if they would help me get him out of the tree, poor thing! He must be starving!

Fire departments won't usually come out for a cat. Call a tree service--they can get up in any tree quickly and get the cat.

Get a bag of those Temptations' treats they love so much... they even go through walls for these or so I see on the TV commercials these days... LOL... Seriously, my cat would come from a deep sleep at the sound of this bag... She's let go of anything for it... If the cat went up, you'd think it could just as easily come down! The poor thing must be starving... Did you try its favorite food as an incentive?

Fire department! LOL. They don't usually respond to that. Maybe try putting some fantastic smelling food at the bottom to lure the cat down. Call animal control. Get a ladder and start climbing?

It's been my experience that if a cat can climb the tree, they can also climb down.
