I just got a new kitten about 3 weeks ago and he wont use the litterbox. Instead he insists on using the toilet and it is really quite gross. Wouldn't be bad if he didn't miss but its always on the seat. Please help!

I think that my cat might be pregnant, her nipples are raised, and her belly seems to be growing, I don't now if she has even gone into her first heat or not, I thought that she would bleed like my dog does, but I have heard that isn't the case with cats.

The question is that she had one kitten. We can feel in her bellie that she has more. But it has been 7 hrs. and nothing. she has had some contractions but nothing else. Is there anything to worry about?

Does any of the above out there also have a pinching feeling in their lower back to one side of their spine. I can still do Squats and Deadlifts at the moment and was wondering if this has caused it, as it doesn't go away.
I would really like to hear your views.

I was just curious as to know why dog mess is everywhere, when they are guarded by their owners who should pick up after them but dont. And cats roam the streets with no owner to guard or pick up after them. But i never see any cat mess? not thati want to obviously but i was just wondering, apart from litterboxes do they go in certain places?

Last weekend I went out to the Columbus Pet Expo here in Ohio. Among several toys and other things, I actually got a small tent for my cat! I think it's adorable (it looks like an elephant and is actually a kids' tent), and set it up in my living room. Here's a pic of the same tent I bought:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Elephant-Tent-Playhouse-Indoor-Outdoor-Play-House-Hut_W0QQitemZ130090150035QQcategoryZ11744QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

The back has a nice big opening, the two feet in front unzip into kitty-sized entrances, and the ear flaps on the sides roll up revealing two screened windows. I put some blankets and toys inside, and my cat loves it! It's her own little fort. It's safe and sets up anywhere with just 2 tent poles on the inside.

Has anybody else out there tried this or something similar with their cat or kitten?

Three weeks ago, my husband and I took in a poor cat off the streets. She was very thin (we could feel all her ribs and all of her spine). We took her in, got her food and water and warmth (it was a very cold, very wet night, so there was no way we were leaving her out, even with food and water). I put out a lost ad (no one has responded with a description that fits her), and we have named her Camoflauge.

Anyway, it's been three weeks. I've been away except on the weekends, and I've noticed that she has been fattening up a lot faster than other rescue cats I've taken in that were underweight (my last rescue took 6 months to get healthy weight back). Well, now I've moved in finally, and I've noticed that she is getting much rounder. Her nipples are also bright pink, and she is showing aggression about touching her belly.

This cat is pregnant, right? If she is, what should I do for her to help her. We will be taking her to the vet this week to confirm and for shots.

I have an aloe plant in my house and my cat has dry itchy skin. I thought the aloe might help my cat's dry itchy skin so I put some on him and it seemed to help releive the itch. But I was wondering if it's safe to put on him. I thought I'd ask cuz I know some plants are toxic to cats and cats lick themselves, so I don't wanna put any more on him unless I know it's not gonna poison him or make him sick. So does anyone know if aloe is safe for cats?

I'm gettiing a female kitten from my friend. I need a list of things that the cat will need. As its a female, should it get neuterd. I dont want the cat to get depressed if its not ever allowed to have kittens. But if i allow it to have kittens i dont know if i would be able to find homes for them all. i'm out from 7:30 to about 4:30 so should i play with it alot when i get home. Also a guide on vaccinations. i know i should let the cat out until its 6 months old.
i'nm getting the cat as soon as it is 8 weeks

I have 2 cats, The 1 is very close to my husband. Every morning when he comes home from work "Floyd" has to rub his cheecks on my husbands beard over and over. If he picks up the other cat 1st (Eiger) then Floyd seems to get mad. He turns around and faces ther other way and No matter what my husband does or says Floyd will not turn around and look at him. Then he seems to snub him for the rest of the day. And Floyd is a veryyyy lovey cuddly cat. I didn't realize they could get jelous but that has to be it right?

My 2 cats (8mths old) always bite each other (looks very hard) on the others neck? They will bite hard then start licking them then bite again then lick a while again. What the heck are they doing that for? They take turns doing it. But their tails are waging the whole time. Seems like a strange way to play if thats what they are doing. They look like they bite so hard.

I have two cats, both male, I have heard they are more expensive or unique if they have more than two colors... One has three and the other has four. What do you know about this, I am interested in it just for my own information, It would be cool to have an expensive cat I got for free from a farmer. They are part siamese too. Very sweet kind loving animals.

I have a 14 year cat. She is a little overweight and cannot reach her back to wash it. Her fur there is full of knots, which we end up cutting off. Her back is full of white flakes, but in the last week it has gotten really bad. If I pick her up I get full of flakes. The rest of her fur is perfectly fine, nice and soft. Bathing her is out of the question. I don't know what to do with my kitty! Any suggestions? Thanks
