I have raised 1000's of varieties of Hamster, and yes, some will be friendly, but, alot will be like Nancy Pelosi, a mean bite !! Good Luck !!

I think it mostly depends on the hamster. I have had several of hamsters, and they were all different. I guess they are kind of like toddlers-some will be shy and calm, while the others will be mischievous and loud.

I had a hamster who got to know me and get friendly with me but when she died and i got a new hamster about 6 months later. I did not get on with that one at all! it got so bad she bit me everytime i went near her. so i gave her away to my friend who got on with her so well and i was really upset becuase i didnt understand! hope you and your hamster get a good friendly bond.

I had a hamster once, who tradgically died in a car accident (I am really serious). She was like 6 months old. She never warmed up and was quite nasty actually. But pets like people, are always different.

Yes, I've had so many hamsters. And the more you hold them the more they love you. and they are great pets .I used to take mine everywhere in my pocket.he was a teddy bear hamster. hang in there and good luck.
