I have 2 cats, The 1 is very close to my husband. Every morning when he comes home from work "Floyd" has to rub his cheecks on my husbands beard over and over. If he picks up the other cat 1st (Eiger) then Floyd seems to get mad. He turns around and faces ther other way and No matter what my husband does or says Floyd will not turn around and look at him. Then he seems to snub him for the rest of the day. And Floyd is a veryyyy lovey cuddly cat. I didn't realize they could get jelous but that has to be it right?

Oh, can they ever! My daughter had a baby a month ago and if I am holding him our cats think they have to be held in the same position as the baby. One of them even thinks I should "burp" him like I do the baby. He crawls up on my shoulder and cries until I pat him like I do the baby. If and when he actually burps he is going across the room.

I think they do. When we adopted a female cat, our male (whom is a very big mama's boy) wouldn't come near me for days. He snubbed me like there was no tomorrow. Until the female accepted him....then he seemed to accept me again.

And then we adopted a dog. The cat has become more affectionate since we brought the dog home. The two of them compete for attention from both me and my husband.

yes, cats love attention. Maybe he could try giving them both attention at the same time, like playing some kind of game. When I toss a small ball my cats will chase after it and knock it to each other that way neither has to feel left out.

Yes cats get jelous.
I have three cats and one of them, Mooch is very Jelous of the other two, Patch and Salem.
When he is with me he won't let Patch or Salem near.
Mooch gaurds the door, growls, and chases my other cats away.

Yes. Very possible. I have only one cat and he exhibits jealous behavior. When I am on the telephone, he bites my arm for attention. Also, when someone sits in "his" chair he trys to push them out of it.
