I just got a new kitten about 3 weeks ago and he wont use the litterbox. Instead he insists on using the toilet and it is really quite gross. Wouldn't be bad if he didn't miss but its always on the seat. Please help!

I HAD MY CATS TOLIET TRAINED. iT GETS EASIER WHEN THEY GET OLDER. IN THE MEAN TIME, JUST KEEP THE TOLIT SEAT UP.

Put some double stick tape on the toilet seat. Cats hate sticky stuff on their feet.It usually takes only twice for them to realize that this is not where they want to jump. Make sure the litterbox is clean and the smell of the litter doesn't hurt his nose.

Well, I would squirt something like Tilex bleach (a little) in the toilet water, it probably put the kitten off of using the toilet seat, and you will have a clean toilet. That's the best I can think of, I hope someone has a better answer. Chow

You're kidding, right, some people try for years to teach their cats to use the toilet, I'm sure you can sell it to any one of a billion people who would love a cat that used the toilet!

Actually some people train their cat to use the toilet. Here's a link where it gives step-by-step training info. Think of all the money you will save on kitty litter.

suspend some litter in paper under the seat (so he can use it in the center) I mean, use the seat to hold it over the bowl
that is actually not much to complain about with cats. many people would trade with you.

He's got to learn to raise the lid!!
My sis n law had a cat that used the toilet correctly. I found it so amazing to hear such ,I didn't ask if they trained it or not?

put the litter box under the seat and show him it's there. it will teach them to lean over the edge.
