If they are fixed early enough, no - they're just
off hunting.

If you get them later on, though ... well, a guy's
gotta do what a guy's gotta do...

No, they won't seek a mate, but there are cats for whom the door is a fascinating gateway to the great unknown and they will run for it every time you open one. But they are not seeking a mate, simply adventure.

The reason that we recommend altering cats by six months of age, is to avoid hormone related behavior such as seeking a mate, spraying urine from sexual stimulation or territorial marking, and fighting. Once neutered, a tom cat is more laid back, and will have no interest even in females that are in heat. Occasionally an altered male will try and mount a female, but she usually gives him "what for" even if he doesn't know what he is there for :O)

My vet informed me that a at the instant neutered male cat continues to be going to have "urges" for as much as a month after the surgical operation till his hormones subside. i don't be attentive to if this is genuine because of the fact I in elementary terms have male cats and no women folk around. besides the fact that if it rather is clever, this is comparable in human adult males after a vasectomy.

highly unlikely that a tom would wonder off in search of a mate if neutered. if he is an outdoor cat, he's probably wondered somewhere where there is plenty of food shelter and water and is happy where he is.
if youve lost your cat im deeply sorry. i love cats too.

not a vet, but i do have to gorgeous male cats. both have been castrated. One of which went missing for about 2 months during a heat wave, so my answer will be yes. think about it. If a man had a vesectomy, would he still want sex? yes would be the answer.

Mine had no idea he was fixed. He met a young female cat once, and I caught them doing the nasty. Trying to, anyway, he had no idea what he was doing.

I guess they would. I know if it was me, and I didn't I was fixed, I would be out catting around.
