Cats have different reactions to different foods. Maybe George would just rather stay with Dry foods. I wouldn't continue to offer wet. At least for a while. Could be the brand you are offering. Have you tried Fancy Feast? Any of them with the Gravy is My Gracie's fave. Sometimes she will just lick the gravy and leave the meat. I only give her about a tablespoon every day. That's her "lunch".

You might try setting out a bowl of dry food, according to the directions on the bag. If you buy a name brand like Meow Mix or Purina it should have good nutritional value. I'd make sure the variety had a hairball preventer in it. Dry is better for the teeth and the litterbox isn't as stinky. If you let your cat nibble as he pleases you won't have to worry about him getting too much food. Most cats know when to stop. If kitty is foaming that probably means he doesn't like the taste. He could just have a sensitive stomach, too. If you're concerned about that you could try feeding a little rice and boiled chicken. Some cats just can't eat wet (pouch or canned) food. Make sure fresh water is available at all times.
As long as your cat seems active as usual, has bright eyes and shiny fur, he's probably okay. Some cats are nibblers and others are gobblers. If they gobble too much they will throw it up.
I also purchase a hairball remedy that comes in a tube. It's a greasy, fishy smelling paste. I rub some into the cat's paw and they lick it off just like candy. This prevents hairballs, which can cause a cat to throw up, too.
Just keep an eye on him and relax. Call the vet if your cat starts to lose weight or is less active. Cats will pick up on it if you're too nervous or anxious about them.
For your own peace of mind you might want to get a cat health book of some kind.

Your food may be on a recall list. Lots of wet cat food is including the moist pouches and canned foods. Not all of the brands are listed on the major site that lists recalls so to be safe, please call your supplier or a local big pet store to find out if your brand is on their recall list. For example, Science Diet Cat and Kitten food- Savory Cuts Ocean Fish, Beef and Gravy and Chicken and Gravy, certain cans with certain skew numbers are being pulled.

I have a cat that does that as well. Just don't give him canned food. we have found with my cat that he can tollerate meow mix market selects so you can try that, I'm not sure on if the quality of the market selects is as bad as their dry food or not, I only give it to him once in a long while as a treat.
contrary to a lot of people's beliefs, cats don't need canned food it sticks to their teeth and can cause diarrhea etc. stick with dry food for your cat.

All my cats eat only dry food unless they develop an inability, through age or illness, to do so. I find that the, um, "end" result is a lot more pleasant to bear with dry food.

Maybe there is something in the wet food that upsets his tummy. It might just be best to stick with different dry foods. I feed my 3 year old purina dry food and he loves it! So, maybe you should it.

It's probably too rich for his stomach to handle. You should definitely go for something dry and non-greasy.
