Of all the cute toys I have bought for my cat, she chose her favorite to be - a piece of green rope. I usualy just run around with it dragging behind me and she chases it like a madwoman. When she catches it, she will hold the end with her mouth and pull on it really hard. Does anyones cat do this? Do you think this could hurt her?

The brand of canned cat food my cat eats is on the list of contaminated foods and yesterday he peed in the house a few times. We also got some snow and he doesn't like to go outside to do his business when it's like that out and he is at least 12-13 years old. Do you think the peeing could be from the food affecting his kidneys or just from not being able to hold it until the snow melts? A few weeks ago he also peed in the house when no one was able to let him out.

We don't have a kitty litter box since he has always gone outside but we are planning on getting one if he keeps this up.

I recently heard on the news that certain moist cat foods may be cantaminated. Is this true as far as Evanger's cat food. That is the type of cat food my cat has.

Hi, one of my parents cats is in season. She's crying constantly and doing a weird thing where she puts her bum in the air lol! We're getting her operation done in a few weeks so she can go outside then, without getting pregnant
Just wondering, how longs she gonna do this for?? And why does our other cat (female and had her operation) get annoyed and try to hit her when she does it. They normally get on well. Thanks x

people who let their cats outside and then come here all upset that they have run away, or get run over or killed by an animal or their neighbor is upset with them because their cat is using their yard as a bathroom.

I feel really bad for those cats who are in those bad situations. if the owners don't want to take care of the animals properly then take them to a no kill shelter.

another pet peve of mine, why people who can't afford animals get them, how many people come here because their cat is sick or injured and they can't afford the vet. or they buy crappy "food" for their cat and don't understand why they are sick. Maybe go with out going out to eat a few times a week, go with out buying that new outfit or something so you can get the proper care for your animals. and if you just barely get by on your own, don't take on taking care of an animal, it's not fair to the animal.

common people!

O.K.... I need some help here, my cat is pregnant and I have no clue to know when she will be having her babies... I don't know how far along she is.... I think she became pregnant sometime in January. Her belly is huge for such a skinny cat she is. Her nipples are really big and very dry. I can feel the babies move around a lot the last few days, I don't even have to feel you can just look at her and see them moving. She's been sleeping a lot lately more than she usually does, She still goes outside everyday like usual. The last two days she's been wanting me to rub her belly a lot.... I feel like she is getting close only because her belly is so big and I can see them moving so much. Someone told me I'd know by her leaking milk from her nipples but her nipples are not leaking they just are VERY dry. Can someone please help... Thank you

Does anyone know how it is spread? I have a cat that I'm worried might be infected.... but the only cat's she's had contact with was when she was around 3 weeks old (her litter.)

My baby has been lethargic this last week. She's ran a fever and weight loss. Her fever has gone down and she has started eating more....

Someone who knows more or can help me... I'm calling for you..

My cat is 12 years old and I brought him from the US to the UK and have purchased him the same brand of food he eats at home though it's not the same type as I have been unable to find the indoor hairball food. I tried another brand of dry food but he will only eat certain bits of it. After awhile I became concerned and gave him wet food which he will eat. I have since tried to get him to eat the dry food and he won't. What should I do?

He hisses and growls and cowards at the same time. I think that he may have been abuse. I have had three attacks from him, the last has caused me to go to the hospital for shots and medications for the wounds. Please help me, I am at a loss of what I should do next. I have given him an abundance of attention and love.

I'm pregnant and get heartburn when I lay down so I've been sleeping on the recliner in our family room. And EVERY single night at around 2AM one of my cats starts jumping on my vertical blinds that go across our sliding doors.

He jumps up and grabs them, crashing into the doors. If I yell his name he stops for a minute ... but then starts right back up. Sometimes I'll chase him into another oom, but he comes right back. I thought he might be hungry, so I tried feeding him but he came right back again. And he'll continue to do this for hours, until he gets tired I guess.

The blinds are hard plastic and it makes SO much noise, it keeps me up all night. And it's not like he wants to go out. I open the door and he runs the other way.

We tried curtains but he tore them up. How can I stop him from doing this? I need sleep!!! Any ideas would be appreciated.

Ok yesterday my cat came in with one eye shut and I've had SO many cats over the years it seemed as though he was having allergy problems (my oldest cat will close one eye when she has allergy problems) usually it just goes away and I didn't mess with the eye to see what was wrong with it. Today he opened it up and it seemed foggyish. It was discolored although you could still see that his eyes were green etc and he moved it like he would normally but I'm worried that he might be go blind if i don't do something soon to take him to the vet. Heres the problem, I've moved back home with my mom and our finances are tied up together and i suggested that he go to the vet today and she wants to wait until the weekend is over because she thinks that if he is blind he is blind if it can be fixed we can do it on Monday (if it's still foggy). I think differently so i need information to back me up or to know if there is hope. If he is blind I'll still love him, I've had blind cats before.
