I recently heard on the news that certain moist cat foods may be cantaminated. Is this true as far as Evanger's cat food. That is the type of cat food my cat has.

For a start, give you cat some rabies shots! You don't want to catch them do you >:( No,They cannot get rabies from drinking water or eating food another animals has I don't think. If it's something thats meat like a bird or something an animal with rabies killed and started to eat then yes, they can get rabies becasue its transferred from the predator,to the prey, the then cat or other animal eating the prey.

this is a list http://menufoods.com/recall/product_cat.html
but... it doesnt include eukanuba or iams products that i heard were also affected.
you may want to do additional research. look at your cans of food. and go to the main site of the maker. (ie Purina, eukaneuba, etc.)
iams website isnt tooo helpful for the recalls.
but. it's the food in CANS or POUCHES that is affected.
scary too... check HILL's Site for Science Diet foods as well. It seems so much is affected.
