Ok yesterday my cat came in with one eye shut and I've had SO many cats over the years it seemed as though he was having allergy problems (my oldest cat will close one eye when she has allergy problems) usually it just goes away and I didn't mess with the eye to see what was wrong with it. Today he opened it up and it seemed foggyish. It was discolored although you could still see that his eyes were green etc and he moved it like he would normally but I'm worried that he might be go blind if i don't do something soon to take him to the vet. Heres the problem, I've moved back home with my mom and our finances are tied up together and i suggested that he go to the vet today and she wants to wait until the weekend is over because she thinks that if he is blind he is blind if it can be fixed we can do it on Monday (if it's still foggy). I think differently so i need information to back me up or to know if there is hope. If he is blind I'll still love him, I've had blind cats before.

my cat had this prob before & i totally freaked out.
took him t the vet & all i got was a tube of eye gel..
his left eye was foggy due to a torn tissue..

the vet there told me that it wasn't a major prob..
so u should try t relax..
observe his behaviour today, if it ain't clearing up,
i suggest u take him t the vet immediately.

I don't know what may be wrong with your kitty's eyes; but this is what I know: any change in the color of a cat's eye MUST be seen by a vet.
Is it possible that your cat got into a cat fight? Perhaps he sustained a scratch in his cornea, deep enough to have made the iris bleed a little (hence the change in color). Some uch injuries heal with the help of antibiotics, which the vet can prescribe. At any rate, if your cat is moving that eye, it is a strong indication that it is not blinded. But please DO take the cat to the vet tomorrow.

Go to the vet
My cat had this problem too her eyes were foggyish and she was 11 years old. She got blinded after 5 months both eyes. She had I don't know what it's called something that old people have too.Maybe your cat has just infection in one eye or allergy. If it is young that's propably the problem but if your cat is old maybe she has what my cat had. Whatever it is go to the vet.

If it is an infection, which is likely, the sooner you get it seen to, the less chance of permanent damage and the sooner your cat is comfortable. An infection or injury is probably causing him some pain.

i had kittens like that before. What it was with them, though, appeared to be a thin foggyish substance over the eye which appeared to be mucus that accumulates over time from a minor eye infection.I got a couple of cotton balls ,saturate them with water, pour 2 drop in the eye,and clean the outer eye rim with it.It might work.Worked for me.
