I live with 3 cats in one room. The female that I just got spayed is still in the carrier because I am afraid to let her roam. She is too weak to really walk. The humane society neglected to tell me what to do afterward, and I was so nervous I forgot to ask. Should I keep her in the cage for the night? And should I give her food and water yet?

ok i need to really give my cat a bath. i haven't given him a bath since he was like a few months old. he is now 3. he is mad dirty and smells. i tried many times too give him one, but he is so strong and scratches and bites. does anyone know a way to give him a bath without all the struggle? and if anyone knows a place where they give cats a bath for money, like a petshop or something like that. like a dog groomer. except for cats. THANK SO MUCH

He is fixed, not declawed, 6 years old, black Maine coon cat. We have 2 other cats and he is the "middle" child. Oldest being 7 year old female (who gets to go outside) and youngest a 1 1/2 year old male maine coon. Fuzzy (grumpy cat) lately has been beating up the younger one, and he always is growling and acting grumpy. He is healthy as far as I can tell, eats and drinks and potties well. Any ideas? Tried to give as much info as possible. Thanks

Often I conduct my own experiments on the cats if I know they are going to die soon and we are finished with them. I deal mostly with neurology so I like to see how the cat reacts when I remove certain pieces of it's brain. I also just like to have fun by sticking electrodes in the cat's brain and observing how different types of shocks affect their muscles. Tell me is there anything wrong with this? It shouldn't matter if the cat is going to die anyway?

My little 3 year old has just come in and I have noticed her foot is bleeding. It's not gushing and I think will stop on its own but she keeps cleaning it. It is inbetween her toes on her back leg. She keeps spreading her toes to clean it which opens the cut again. Any ideas as to how I can stop her from cleaning it? I can't take her to the vet until the morning. any ideas on bandaging? i need to put something on it that she wont get off.

Chocolate milk tastes of chocolate.
Banana milk tastes of bababas.
I bet Cat Milk doesn't taste of cat, cos the world is cruel like that.

As funny as this is going to sound, my 6 week old kitten (female) always hisses and claws at any male that seems to want to get close to me. She goes completely wild. Yet, when one of my girl friends comes over she's perfectly normal. The strange thing about this is that she's usually very calm... Until a guy trys to hug me or touch me!

It's bizarre! Why does she do this? and What do I do to get her to stop?

-Thank you.

I took in my cat Boba when he was a stray at 10 months old. Hes almost 3 now and he has gotten very angry. He was the sweetest stray ever and now he is a totaly different cat. Hes gained alot of weight (i have him on a diet now). But the other day i was holding him and petting him and he just flipped out on me and bit my hand. Hes also bit my boyfriend who lives with me but he has never shown that kind of anger with me before. (He favored me more than anyone) Im worried that the shot that we gave him at the vet for feline distemperment did this to him because everything went down hill from then. He also pees on my clothes now so i dont even let him go in my bedroom anymore. This is so frustrating. Someone please help i dont want to get rid of him. And i dont want him to hurt anyone else!

We have over 30 cats on our farm--we feed them and they go through like 30 pounds of food a week...it's getting quite expensive. We have neutered and spayed all the cats that we want to keep and are tame. However, there are about 10 cats that are too wild to catch to spay or neuter, and we don't want them. The wild cats keep reproducing and my dad gets rid of some of the kittens, but I feel horrible about it--but my parents buy the food, so what they say goes. I would trap the wild ones, but I have tried that before and only the tame ones wander inside the trap. There is no Humane Society near us and my parents don't want to pay for any more neutering or spaying, since we have neutered the cats we want to keep. Does anyone have any ideas of how we can control our cat population and catch the wild cats without killing them?

So I had a little antifreeze leak from my car, when i went into the garage the cat was licking it up and shortly after acting pretty strange as if to want more. That was 2 days ago and now his cat bowl has antifreeze in it instead of water. He loves it! what the heck is wrong with him? lol

My cat has a cut in between his ear and his eye, not too big. I think he cut it scratching or cleaning. Do I need to bring him to the vet, or should I use neosporin or something to try and make it better?

Yesterday, two of my cats teeth fell out, I took him to the vet and it turns out a lot more of his teeth are missing--she said that he seems to have a dental disease causing this that some cats get. The total cost for me to have his surgery ie..clean mouth remove teeth etc..is going to be $800 I cannot afford this right now due to a recent financial situation and none of my family members can help me out. I also am worried about the prognosis and the cost of any ongoing care. Should I put him to sleep. I love him with all my heart, but I don't want him to be in pain and it's not fair to him if he can't get proper treatment. This really sucks :(

I volunteer at a humane assoc. and there is a female spayed cat there that I want!! My question is how will that affect my non-neutered cat? Will he still want to spray all over the place and want to mate even though she is spayed? I'm going to get him neutered ASAP, but would it be better to have that done before a female cat is brought into the house? They were closed today except to volunteers so I couldn't ask anyone there!

I have two cats ... my youngest one is a biter ... when we are cuddling and she is happy and purring she starts to bite me ... i have tried tapping her nose and saying no and giving her the cold shoulder. but she still wont learn not only does he bite me but she chews on my blanket ... (not to sound mean) she is too dumb with the spraying water at her.. she just looks around and meows at me ... is there any way that i can make her stop chewing and biting?

And they both claw at the carpet and couches ... we have done the same things .. we have cut their nails but that only makes things worse and we tried tapping them one the nose or the spray bottle saying no but they just look at us like we are retards. We have a scratching post for them but they dont use it ... they just sleep on it ... we have tried putting cat nip on it so they will claw at that. Any suggestions on what we should do?

All my cats won't just lay still, they are constantly squirming and moaning (complaining) and occasionally trying to bite me. when ever its time to trim someones toenails.

*By the way its illegal to have a cat declawed in California.
I wouldn't do it even if it was legal, its too cruel to the cat to maim it by cutting off its poor little toe tips.

My cat got fixed a week ago. He's been fine; his appetite is okay and he doesn't seem to be hurt.

However, he was laying on his back and I saw that there is some crusty yellowish stuff on his little balls. What is this? Discharge? He's so furry that I didn't see anything til now. They said there were no stitches; could this be an infection? I heard they sometimes close the area with glue. Maybe that's it?

Thanks!
