Cats - March 2007

My cat sleeps w/me every night. i fall asleep w/him on top of me, and anytime i wake up in the middle of the night, if he isn't on top of me, he is right next to me, bodies touching. Does he do this just to be near me, or just for the warmth? Anyone elses kitty do this too?

One of my cats has been missing for three weeks now. I have put flyers on all the mailboxes in the neighborhood and have searched and called for him every day. We all miss him and haven't given up on him yet. He's a 'fraidy cat, and I think maybe he's hiding somewhere but may be injured.

A friend told me she looked for her kitty for three months before she found him!

My cat is going to have kittens. Its my fault for being such an irresponsible pet owner and not have her fix before this happend. After she has the kittens, how soon can I take her to be fix? the next question, does anybody wants a kitty?

My cat Jessie is almost 13 years old and he was 'fixed' as a kitten. He is an indoor cat but lately, he seems to want to go outside more then live with us. Anyway, my husband took him out to the back yard and as always, was keeping a close eye on him. All of a sudden he saw him back his butt over to a small tree/bush, and then gave out 2 squirts!!!! I thought if he was fixed he would never spray. How did this happen and why??? Should I be concerned? Thanks in advance for any advice!

My kitty cat fell of our 6 ft closet & landed on her rear end.We have wall to wall carpeting.So that made the fall less harder.She has been eating well & takin care of her duties,she walks fine but I could see she is a bit sore .There is no swelling,no limp,just soreness trying to climb on or off things.Nothing seems broken.How can get something to ease her .

e fleas and give them drops for the worms as they wont take the tablets no matter what we do with them but we only treated them for the worms 3 weeks ago and they have them again we just wondered does anyone know what causes worms thankyou

My cat has just had a litter of 3 and has been doing just fine until today. She was laying in her box with her babies and started screeching like she was in pain. She kept flipping on her back with her neck up for a couple periods of 5 seconds. Is this like gas or abdomonel cramps of some sort. She's calm now but it just scared me. My poor baby :(

It's been about four months tomorrow since I've gotten Marshall and Wylie. Yes there's been fights and attempted fights with sounds and no verbal action, which is a good thing. But today was different. If anyone know what it means for multiple cats who don't get along, please let me know. Not too long ago, Sweet Pea woke up from her nap. She was by the kitchen and then the desk. This is the time I chose to let the cats out for a few hours. After the gate was up, I opened the door and Marshall came out to go to my room. I checked on Wylie and petted him. Afterwards, he started to back up, like he saw Sweet Pea. She wasn't at the other side of the gate. I saw Marshall come out of my room. Somehow Sweet Pea got in my room, as my mom and I was talking. Here's the thing: No sounds, no fighting. Does this mean that after four months, they're finally got along and have fought it out? I hope so, so they can get along, Marshall and Wylie to have full freedom, and my mom and I won't have to

Why do it to the poor animals?!?!? they have done soo many of the same exparements on other animals. and animlas compare nothing to people!
i mean, do we really need another shampoo?! or mascara, that will most likely take more lifes of these poor animals?!?!?!

my MIL's cat had kittens 2 days ago and all were fine. last night they all nursed and acted fine. this morning a tomcat was in with them and later i found 1 kitten not nursing or moving her head very well. she moves it backwards but not forwards.

any suggestions?

we found him 3 mons ago and he is a great pet except for this.he "crys" for his canned food every 3 hours around the clock(dry food out all the time)now thats it nice out he crys to go outside allmost all the time.we are limited to what we can do as we live in a condo(no basment) and can't really let him out as we are close to the road.the vet said hes in good health(teeth too) i think hes just spolied as i feed him whenever he crys to keep him quiet(about 2-3 times in the night) what can i do to brake him of this habbit so we and our neighbors can sleep at night?

my cat is a girl named Snowflake. she rolls around in the dirt when i get close 2 her and tell her not 2 do it. then when i touch her back like in the end she starts going up like her back goes up. when she sees a fly,she makes a chirpings noise. she wiggles her butt when she is about 2 jump and tries 2 catch my hair. why does she do that? she just had 3 babies.i need a name that starts with a S and the kitten is white. now that she had her babies, her butt is HUGE !! she is white with brownish patches her tail is brown and so is her facce but the rest is white.se looks like a persian and tabby.i think my cat is a persian-tabby.she has never been 2 the vet and neither has the kittens. snowflake doesnt like the sun a lot. HELP ME!

in my laundry room. I brought the cat inside and she won't eat anything but a few sips of milk twice a day! Its been another week now. Any suggestions on what might help her eat? She loves us to pet her but she hides most of the time. Will she get used to the house, and come out more often? And I have tried tuna, she didn't touch it. Any ideas?

I've got an old moggy Tom that I rescued from the street- and he's rather healthy- he must be about 15.
My gran had an old orange tom that lived until 21.
I was wondering if purebred cats have such similar good health to the average moggy and what their life expectancy usually is.

This fatal problem with cat and dog food is only because we set up regulations here but turn around and purchase ingredients from countries who do not follow the same guidelines. What's the point and the same applies to human food too.

I have an old female cat, and two younger males. All have been fixed. But, most of the time my girl won't use the litter box. We keep it as clean & fresh as possible. But, she'll do her thing either in front of it or just off to the side, on the floor! I've sprayed the areas with vinager, & tried other household items, as a deterant; & I've even tried the pet repellants from the stores, but nothing seems to stop her. I never had much of a problem with her in the past. But now, I just don't know what to do. Does anyone have any ideas to help us?

my cats mouth has become lob sided and swollen, we took him to the vet inwhich he said there was nothing wrong with his mouth but gave him an injection as he was clearly in pain. we have taken him back but the vet still says there is nothing wrong. has anyone out there any idea what it could be before we decide to take him back again or take him to another vet.
