No, he won't get mean. My male cat became quite a bit more cuddly after we had him neutered. He's still fun and he loves to play but now every now and again, he'll just come and snuggle.

No. In fact, probably the opposite will happen. Due to increasing levels of hormones, male cats become aggressive (particularly with other cats) when they reach sexual maturity, and many intact male cats get into fights with other males when female cats are in heat.
Neutering, the surgical removal of your cat's testicles, will remove the source of the hormones that cause aggressiveness with other cats. After your cat is neutered, he should be more of a "home body" (he won't wander off as much if you let him outside), and he will stop (or won't start) spraying unpleasantly pungent urine on walls and doors.
I've known many male cats over the course of my life, both neutered and non-neutered, and I've never seen a cat get mean after neutering. In fact, almost every animal shelter makes a practice of spaying or neutering the cats in their care before those animals are adopted.
Neutering will also help contribute to your cat's long-term health. Un-neutered cats are at much greater risk of dying in street accidents and getting severe injuries or diseases such as Feline Leukemia (which is incurable) as a result of fights with other cats.

of course not. why would you're cat get mean because he gets neutered? he might gain a bit a weight, may even want to be with you more. I have a male cat, he's very affectionate, loves his food and the food of our other cats more than we'd like. But by no way has he ever been mean because he was neutered

Cats can get mean neutered or not but most of the time it calms them down as well as makes it easier to live around them.

No he will not get mean. I just had my kitten neutered last month and the only thing that changed is that he's not as playful anymore.

Probably not. I've had a female cat get mean after being fixed, but all the toms I know are nicer after being fixed.

no, actually if there's any change in personality he will get calmer & more easy going. (plus he won't spray, go out fighting, get kitty std's, and he will live longer)
