my MIL's cat had kittens 2 days ago and all were fine. last night they all nursed and acted fine. this morning a tomcat was in with them and later i found 1 kitten not nursing or moving her head very well. she moves it backwards but not forwards.

any suggestions?

Take the kitten to the vet, if something is wrong with it's neck then it's better to have the vet operate or to put it to sleep then for it to suffer a slow painful death.

Just give it time. The same thing happened to my cat when she had kittens, and one died when it was 1 day old. Don't interfere. Sometimes the kittens are just sick and don't make it.

you might lose that one. it sounds like either it is sick or the tom hurt it. just let the mother deal with it. if she pushes it away or ignores it then chances are it is dying. sorry to hear that it isnt doing well but just remember that you have others to love
