VET! NOW! One thing people are not saying is renal failure. Kidneys shutting down just before death. Happens with older cats frequently. Bloody diarrhea, loss of appetite, lethargy is just first signs. Next comes seizures and loss of select senses, then death. Don't wait on a best answer. Call vet immediately. Could also be hookworms.

It can be any number of things. You need to worry about dehydration, the diarrhea, the weight loss, etc. Do not give medications (assume the cat needs to be de-wormed, etc.) without seeing the vet immediately.

We had the same problem. You know what it was? It was because the cat was given dry food all it's life and now that the cat is older, it's teeth cannot handle the dry food because its hard to chew up into pieces now! We switched our cat over to canned meat type food and she is doing better. Your cat is always at her dish trying to eat but not really getting any is my guess!
Have a swell day!

I agree that taking it to the seem after is between the final ideas you have: the seem after can test it for a micro-chip (identity that's implanted interior the cat's pores and skin ought to it have an proprietor, that's a thank you to get it back to that's unique proprietor, or ought to a micro-chip no longer be got here across the seem after can provide it an entire vet examination to insure that's wellbeing, vaccinate it against ailment, spay/neuter it to keep away from undesirable kittens and/or reproductive tissue cancers, and of direction re-abode it. be careful once you seize it because it ought to no longer be used to human interplay (even the fluffiest of kitties have claws), i could take some treats to bribe it and a towel to wrap it in ought to it determine to claw/chew you in addition to mght be careful of the motor vehicle experience to the seem after, i could think of that this kitten might have in no way ridden in a motor vehicle and the 1st time might properly be a touch frightening experience. If un-limited interior the motor vehicle the cat may even disguise below seats in simple terms out of your attain so please confine the cat to a pair form of provider alongside with an actually cat provider (purchase one used on the nearby puppy save for $15 or new for $30) or a closed card board field with air holes (purchase one for $5 at PetCo). many circumstances in case you tell the seem after which you're bringing in a homeless kitten they are going to be extra suitable than keen to hire you a cat provider freed from charge. you have alot of coronary heart to be afflicted for this cat's wellbeing; it takes a noble individual to do the remarkable element and take action to make certain that the cat is dropped on the seem after the place that's maximum helped.
