I took in my cat Boba when he was a stray at 10 months old. Hes almost 3 now and he has gotten very angry. He was the sweetest stray ever and now he is a totaly different cat. Hes gained alot of weight (i have him on a diet now). But the other day i was holding him and petting him and he just flipped out on me and bit my hand. Hes also bit my boyfriend who lives with me but he has never shown that kind of anger with me before. (He favored me more than anyone) Im worried that the shot that we gave him at the vet for feline distemperment did this to him because everything went down hill from then. He also pees on my clothes now so i dont even let him go in my bedroom anymore. This is so frustrating. Someone please help i dont want to get rid of him. And i dont want him to hurt anyone else!

If your Boba's behavior changed suddenly, you should contact your vet for a thorough health examination. Cats often hide symptoms of illness until they're seriously ill. Any change in behavior may be an early indication of a medical problem. Cats may become aggressive toward people or toward other animals in the household as a result of a medical problem such as one causing pain, vision or hearing loss, or diseases having direct effects on the nervous system. Stresses can also cause irritability and subsequent aggression in some cats. Your vet should be able to help you to identify the sudden change in Boba.

Best of luck with your Boba.

I agree that you should call the vet about this behavior and get an exam and maybe a blood test to make sure he doesn't have an illness. Also, I noted that you say he is on a diet. I do not know how you are regulating his calories, but I do know that a hungry cat is not a happy cat. maybe you should increase food and play with him more to burn calories. Cat's do not know why you are not feeding them what they are used to. They only know that all of a sudden, you are not giving him what he wants.

Well it might jus be because he's feeling the soreness of the shot but if he has been doin this for more than a couple of days maybe you should call the vet and explain his behavior and maybe the vet can explain what's wrong
