My cat has a cut in between his ear and his eye, not too big. I think he cut it scratching or cleaning. Do I need to bring him to the vet, or should I use neosporin or something to try and make it better?

yes put neosporin on it. As long as it is not too big you should not need to take your pet to the vet, use your own descretion. also, make sure his eye is not bothered if the cut is close to it.

if cats made it from all those years back and still survive and flourish today, im sure your cat will be fine from a cut, just make sure the little scratch didnt extend to the eye, if the cat doesnt seem bothered from it dont worry about it, the cat will clean itself, the saliv will help with the cut, but if you want you can take a small cotton ball with some rubbing alcohol and just give the cut a small dab, then after that you can just ignore it.

I'd say let it alone. If it isn't bleeding anymore, the cat will take good care of it itself.
Just watch for signs of infection, redness, oozing, pus, or an odor. If you see anything like that, take it to the vet ASAP for an antibiotic.

If you put neosporin on it, the cat will ingest it, and who knows how that will affect it?

Cat's own saliva is the best medicine. Not much to do when it's not too big a wound.

If its weeping then you can put savlon on it. Your main worry will be if there is any dirt in it. Also if his eye is red or sore you an use 'human strength' saline eyedrops.
