my roommate recently moved out and took her cat with her. now my little man is lonely and less active. I try to play with him as much as possible but I can't be home ALL the time. Its to the point that he even wakes me up in the middle of the night to play! is there anything I can do to help him stay active and playful even while i'm not home? perhaps a toy you can recommend that he can play on his own? (I cannot afford to get him another cat friend)

even when they are no longer kittens. My husband thinks it's ok especially for washing them so they don't scratch you but I'm not sure.

I just caught my cat licking clean rolls of T.P.. I had brought home a fresh pack and set it in the bathroom, well we had taken one out which left one exposed. My cat goes sneaking by me and starts licking it, like putting a hole in the roll!!! It was odd! Now she sits by the bathroom door (cause we keep it shut she also like to drink out of the toliet) and crys and crys cause she want more T.P.! Anyone ever hear of this?

Hi everyone!
Me and my husband will be going for a 5 days vacation in May.
We have a cute kitty cat, 6 months old that will have to stay alone for 5 days.
I am so very worried to leave him alone. I mean we would probably end up asking our friends to come and feed him/clean his litter box, but still like 90% of the time the cat will be alone so I dont think its a great idea to leave him by himself, but at least he knows the environment and will not be stressed out.
What other options do we have? We cant take him with us, of course.
Did you ever leave your pet alone for a few days? How did it go?
Thank you

Our cat peed on our bed, I washed the bedding...it looked like it was gone. Recently, I saw a "stain" again. It's definitely clean. I have 3 small kids--anything goes...so I can believe this is something else....but I am starting to think the urine stain came back. It doesn't smell, and it didn't go thru to our mattress (thank goodness). If this is urine, how do I successfully clean my sheets?

well a few minutes ago i was outside playing soccer in my driveway...my cat normally comes outside with me and i didn't want to be out alone so i brought her with me. When i was gunna go inside, i call 4 my cat. I wasn't scared because she's stubborn and normally doesn't come out right away. Then a few minutes later she runs out of my bushes with a huge black cat behind her. I go over and they're hissing at each other. I threw my soccer ball at it and scared it away. Then my cat started hissing at me and ran in the house without saying anything. Normally she is very social....i don't know if she physically got hurt or if it's just her pride...HELP!!

I haven't changed his diet, everything in his life is the same. Some times he throws up before I feed him. It looks like his food isn't always chewed up. Could it just be from him getting old, or is something wrong with him?

my cat sheds his claws naturally but one seemed to have dried blood inside the shedded claw. Does anyone know why this would happen , what it is, or if I need to do something?
Thanks

Well, she can't be superhuman, so 'superfeline' it is.

I was worried sick last night because my little Merry was due to be spayed this morning. The vet phoned just 2 hours after the op saying that she could go home earlier than the other kitties who also had the operation today. The vet said that she's never seen anything like it in over 25 years: Merry was up, fully alert, and full of energy within an hour of her operation.

Apparently, having her uterus and ovaries removed hasn't bothered Merry in the slightest! She's showing no signs of being sore - she doesn't seem to give a damn. She's not been sleepy at all all day, and is STILL running like the house like a lunatic, full of energy, stuffing her face all the time. She's been chasing paper footballs around the house for hours, and is jumping up on top of cupboards despite having a fair portion of her insides removed a few hours ago. I'm trying to calm her in case she busts her stitches!

Is she a freak??!

I Just wanted to know if it is ever possible to get my cat to like water. Because some times when my cat goes out in to the woods, she can get very muddy and it isn't very efficient to clean her off with a dry towel. So thanks!

I have a female cat that I adopted (found in the street) and is now about 3 years old. My boyfriend has 2 male cats that are about 1 1/2 years old. We have brought them together once, but kept them in separate rooms, and they all flipped out. What are things I can do to help these cats get used to one another- I know it will take time, but how long?

My kitten is acting very weird... she is mowing at the sliding glass door and this morning she wouldn't hop up on my lap (like she ALWAYS does.) I haven't got her spayed yet.
