She's fine, books, to me are just someone elses opinion. You don't know what animals will do as each one is just a different as humans are. Keep an eye on her, keep showing her where her birthing box is. She will go into her box when she knows it's time. Once she's in there, check on her every once in a while, offer her a drink of water too. You could watch her give birth if you wanted too. Just keep talking softly to her, don't startle her in any way, move slowly. It is so amazing to see an animal give birth and to watch them take care of their babies. As if it's pre-programmed in their minds. Their instincts kick into over drive. She will eat like this for a while, and will stop when she knows it's time to bring her babies into the world. Even her energetic moods are fine too. There is nothing to worry about, nothing is wrong with your kitty. I hope this helps you out. She will be just fine, hope she has some pretty babies!

The only signs I saw when my cat went into labor is when she was in it. If your cat is running around the house, she is not in labor.

Every kitty is different... every animal about to give birth is different... is this her first litter? if so then she may not understand whats going on... she probably thinks the pain in her tummy is from hunger pains =) she is probably due to have kitties at anytime =) have fun!! and good luck!!
