yes you are definately right. My kitten did the exact same thing. I found my kitten abandoned at just 5 weeks old it was touch and go for a while because he'd not had the nutrients from his mum. he started to climb from my lap to my shoulder and rest there and suck my ear whilst purring. Apparently when I asked the vet he said the ear lobe must have the same texture as the mother cat's nipple. Nice to know huh!? He still does it to this day and he's 4. think it's like his little comfort blanket now tho.

I had one that would suck my neck when I was sleeping.YUCK!
Now we have a female that is very small.Only half the size of our other cat but I guess she does'nt realize how little she is.
When someone knocks on our door or she sees someone in our neighbors yard she growls and runs to look out the window.Along with the 2 cats we have 2 german shepherds. One weighs 85# and the other is 115#.The small one is still a puppy and when he barks outside this silly cat runs to the door growling like she's gonna rip into whatevers annoying her pup.And when the dogs are bad and get scolded she plants her little 8# body between me and them and puffs up like a tiny little football and hisses and claws the air for emphasis. She will not let up until I get done telling the boys off for their bad behavior then she turns, flips her tail at them and looks back as if to say "SO THERE".If I raise my voice she comes running to see what's wrong.
All she does is eat and sleep but she defineately rules the house.

I have a 19 year old cat that still sucks my ear. He has done it since he was a kitten and still to this day does it from time to time. I think it's the sweetest thing ever. It means that the kitty is very comfortable with you and loves you. Certain cats have certain personalities. This is a personality that I absolutely love with my cat!

Definately sounds like he still thought he was suckling on his mum! I've see 6 month old kittens suckle their Mum when the Mum had a second litter only 4 weeks old.

One of my cats LOVES my hair when it's clean and will hold my head in place so she can give me a groom and a major headrub.

My cat did the exact same thing for a long time after she came to live with me!!
She missed her mom and would come up and try to nurse on my ear lob while i was sleeping.
She grew out of it eventually - probably a year or two after i got her.
I kind of miss it.

Aww, that's sweet, maybe he was separated from his mom too soon. My little Hobbes does many strange things. After she greets me at the door when I come home every evening, she'll run around in the bathtub and cry until I turn the shower on. She loves playing in water. When we go to bed for the night Hobbes curls up on my chest, sticks her face in my face, and snores really loud!

I particularly have 2 cats. one among them is a woman lengthy-haired calico, darkish brown with reddish highlights i wager you are able to say and suitable eco-friendly eyes. the different is a male and he's her son! he's larger than she is now - orange and white lengthy-haired tabby with gold eyes. he's the biggest puppy - about all you are able to do is inspect him and he will purr!! The Momma Katt responds and purrs even as it truly is feeding time!! lol.

My 4 year old cat sucks his tail like a baby sucks his thumb. He's done this since he was a baby.
He also licked a bar of soap so much that his mouth was foaming.
He's a little strange... but i still love him :)

We have noisy neighbours where I live so I have to use earplugs to get a decent nights sleep. My new kitten, sasha has learnt to go hunting for them after one night she poked them out of my ears and ran off with them. She now howls and tries to clamber onto the bedroom furniture trying to hunt them down .If I place them onto the cabinet she goes crazy, jumps on my shoulder and won,t stop crying until she gets them in her mouth.Either my earwax carries some sort of pheramone or its a catnip substitute...my wife doesn,t agree though !
