Yesterday evening, my cat Sarah was sitting in my lap when she suddenly jumped onto the floor and began meowing and running around.

I attempted to calm her down, but she continued to run around an cry. Several seconds latter, she ran behind my chair and, as I walked around to see if she was alright, she made a sound that can be best described as a loud "pop" and stuff came out of both of her ends simultaneously.

Following this, she gave me a rather sheepish look and ran into "her" closet. After I confirmed that she was not in any distress I left her alone and she eventually emerged from the closet.

She didn't appear to have any problems throughout the night and seems to have not had any difficulty throughout the day. I've had Sarah for fifteen years and she has never done anything like this before.

I'm considering bringing her to the vet but really don't have the money to do so.

Is this normal or should I get Sarah to a vet???

What should i name my new kittens? The fluffier brown tabby is a female. A little about her personality: very hmm... moody (sometimes she is extremely affectionate and demanding of attention... other times she is aloof and acts stuck up) she loves to purr, VERY energetic and playful

The second one is a short hair brown tabby male with white paws. He is a sweet, easy going, laid back type of guy who loves to snuggle with you. He also is a bit goofy and uncoordinated, unlike his sister.

So any name ideas would be appretiated. I don't want something too stupid (like whiskers or fluffy) but also not too serious... something in between would be good.

here are the pictures:

I have a 4 year old male pitbull, I love the dog and he is good to my family, Awesome with kids! He however will kill and half eat any neighborhood cats that come into my yard. I started to tell one of my neighbors after he ripped their cat apart but i figured it may be a barrel of fish I didn't want to open, so I threw it in the creek. I dont want any SPCA people messing with my dog. I have a great dog and its not my dang problem to babysit the neighbor's cats. Does anyone have any advice? I really couldn't care less about the cats, they are just ingrateful yard rats but can my dog get into any trouble by a troublemaking neighbor?

This last Saturday we adopted an adult cat from someone who had to move. We have a dog but the woman giving away the cat said he was used to dogs. I know it's early yet, but the cat doesn't want anything to do with anybody, especially not the dog. When we try to pet him he just wants to get away.

Any suggestions to help him adapt?

My cat doesn't always know how to retract her claws, and when she jumps up on the counter to eat (cat food is on counter so dog won't eat it), she sometimes misses, so she likes it when we lift her on the counter. Is she stupid?

My cat has some dry flakes in her coat, back towards her tail. She is too fat to reach her tongue back there to groom herself. I am thinking of having her fur shaved around that area. What is wrong with her? Why does she act so aggressively when I itch her? She also licks me when I brush her coat. I've changed her cat food to Royal Canin, and Nutro dry food, and I add some of this Dream Coat oil from the Health food store to her wet food in the morning. It hasn't been long enough to know if it's making a difference yet. Also, she throws up hair balls every week, and it seems as though in the last year, she developed these 2 new ugly habits. She is 8 years old, and I had the vet examine her and her blood work came back fine. Next step would be x-rays.....I don't want to do that if I can get some answers on-line first. Has anyone else had this "itchy" problem with their cat? What's the best thing for hairballs? Would shaving be good or bad-She's strictly an indoor cat..help

My neighbor has several outdoor cats and they are always climbing over the fence and getting on my car, I always smell cat urine too. What is a good way to scare them off? I heard about putting up fishing line on top of my fence to prevent them from hopping the fence, but that didn't work. Please help! Thanks!

If so, how many do you have? I have two kittens right now, a brother and sister. I am thinking of getting a 3rd, but i don't know if its a good idea. Is it hard to have 3 cats? Do they usually get along ok? I dont want it to be very difficult to take care of them and keep track of them, and i also want them to get along well. Will my two kittens leave the 3rd one out or pick on him or something? Is getting a third cat or kitten a good idea?

I think its a love bite because when im holding him he's purring, then all of a sudden he'll grab my face with his paws and bite my chin. Is this a love bite? Is this normal? Also, should i punish him for it (spray him with water) or will he grow out of it? Its cute, but i dont want him to think that biting people is ok.

Here is the dilemma: They have a cat that is about 2-3 years old. I live in Connecticut and it's freezing here and no matter what time of day, what the weather is, this cat is outside ALL THE TIME. I have two cats of my own and when i go outside to call them in, she comes running too. I feel bad, but i left her outside and took mine in. Well, one day one of my housemates came up to my apt. and said there was a cat that got locked in the basement and he wasnt sure if it was mine, he just heard it meowing for days. So i went downstairs and it was thier cat. I picked it up, carried it next door and said, "i think this is your cat, he has been locked in our basement for days" The woman just said "oh" and i handed her the cat and she dropped it outside. They used to have food dishes outside for it and now they dont so i have been feeding it daily, ect but i cant keep it. my apt is too small.. so they obviously dont care about this cat..

IS IT OK TO ADOPT OUT THIS CAT TO A LOVING HOME?

My cats voice has changed suddenly, one day it was normal, next day it was very high pitch sounding compared to what it normally was. It has been like this for 4 days now. My cat doesn't appear to be in any kind of pain and is acting normal and meows as much as normal. I have no idea what happened to cause this, or if it is going to go away, or if I should take her to a vet, I am just interested in some input on what people think.

She has been sick for 3 days now. Initially what she was throwing up was a little more thick but now it has turned almost like liquid. She is not eating any thing and I have not seen her do a number 2 as well. I am giving her petromalt every other day. She has become lazy and sleeps throughout the day. Has any body got some experience that how much time it takes for patromalt to work and when is it the time to take her to the VET? let me know
Thanks

So far this week I've trapped 6 cats roaming free in the neighborhood and turned them in to authorities to protect the natural fauna around my property. The neighbors have all been sent prior notices about the trapping and are fully aware of where their cats can be recovered. I've been using canned cat food as bait for the trap. Would tuna or salmon be more effective or about the same?

the litter box is already covered it looks like a small kennel and i have a rug in front of it but my cat is crazy and digs into it with force so it comes shooting out of the box so it goes on the floor and on the rug i have. how can i keep him from doing that or what i can use to prevent that since I doubt i can make him stop? it trails all over the kitchen and requires me to sweep it up twice a day.
