She has been sick for 3 days now. Initially what she was throwing up was a little more thick but now it has turned almost like liquid. She is not eating any thing and I have not seen her do a number 2 as well. I am giving her petromalt every other day. She has become lazy and sleeps throughout the day. Has any body got some experience that how much time it takes for patromalt to work and when is it the time to take her to the VET? let me know
Thanks

If she has not passed any feces and you are using something that should make her go more regularly then you may have a serious problem.
Hairballs can make then constipated to the point that they need an enema done under a general anaesthetic or she may have a complete or partial blockage of her intestinal tract. You need to take your cat to a vet today (do not feed her incase she needs an anaesthetic). The vet will be able to feel her intestines (abdomen palpation) and tell whether she is contipated or whether there is a blockage.

I have to agree with your other answers. Don't wait until it is too late. At least call your vet's office and consult some one there. If they think it's necessary for you to bring your kitty in. Then do it as soon as possible. Petromalt isn't good to give every other day. Giving any fur ball remedy is usually done about once a month. Seeing she has been so lethargic for how many days now, please don't wait to contact your vet. I wish you luck and hope this helps you out.

I would take it to the vet NOW!!! I have a cat and he was throwing up "fur balls" and wasn't eating and had diarrhea, after the exam and tests he tested positive for feline leukemia which we caught so he was given iv's and antiabotics for 10 days and now he is a very well cat.He still has the virus but so far he is in good health and just because they have the virus don't mean it will develop, kinda like aids just because you have the virus you may never get the actual disease, so please have the cat checked out, I would be lost if something happened to mine....Good luck..

Sounds like it is time to take her to the vet? Since the vomiting has been going on for 3 days and now she is acting lethargic.. it could be she has a hairball stuck that treatment is required for or she could have something else entirely going on I would contact your vet and get her an apt set up ASAP

Take it to the vet. My one cat had been throwing up and not eating or going, and they said it could be Feline Luekemia, luckily it was just a random bug but it would be safer to consult with a vet than to wait til its too late.

Have you tried the hairball control food that they offer because when my cat was sick with hairballs I gave it to them and it worked. I went to the vet before I bought the food to ask them about it they said it should work and if it didn't just take my cat back.

Cats who appear to be anorexic and vomit are considered emergencys. Please take her ASAP so she doesnt develop hepatic lipidosis on top of it.

Take kitty to the vet now. Sounds bad. The problem may not even be hairball. Please take kitty to the vet.
