One of my cat's has been sneezing for about a week - and now you can see her nose is runny/bothered. All my cats are indoor only cats, so they haven't gotten anything from outside. The only bad thing is, she was rescued too late to truly tame - so it's VERY difficult to lay hands on her. I don't know if I need to catch her to get her to the vet? I'd rather not if there is something else I can do - it's stressful for her AND us.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

No matter how much I brush her, she always has a HUGE amount of knots...The only solution I have found is to shave her, but it is so cold and I don't want her to get sick...She is an indoor cat, and has all of her claws. Is there an easy solution to get these painful knots out without hurting her or getting hurt myself?

I just adopted a 1 year old cat. She was not eating, so I took her to the vet, and he said she had the flu and admited to so that he could give her pain medication. Well, she is home now, and is eating, drinking, and peeing and pooping in her litterbox. She is also very affectionate and is playing a little bit. However, she has been gagging every so often, along with the occasional sneeze. I already have two cats, and I have seen them gag and then throw up a hair ball, so I already know that this could happen. However, she is not throwing up anything. When I went into her room this morning (I have her separated from them still and am slowly introducing them), I saw that she had thrown up a clear liquid. I'm wondering if she is just smelling the other cats? Or, maybe the pain medication irritated her throat? (although I'm not sure if they gave it to her in ther throat, or through an iv). What do you guys think? She seems happy, but I read that gagging could be serious.

I just brought home 2 beautiful siberian kittens, a male & female from the same litter. The male is sweet and affectionate, the female keeps hissing at me though! She runs and hides from me if I walk towards her. I've noticed the male is less affectionate when is sister is around also. How do I get her to bond with me?

My cat is about 2 1/2 years old. I also have one more cat and a dog. She has been peeing on our bathroom rug and on clothes (if we leave them on the floor). She doesn't pee on our hardwood floor or the tile floor. I've already took her to the vet, and no urinary tract infection was found. Any one have any suggestions as to what I can do? We have already gotten another litter box (one for each cat), and it still hasn't worked.

It's obviously bothering her and making her itch. I have washed her there twice, but she hates that. What can I do on a daily basis to make her feel better? Brush her with a wet comb? She is on a diet but I don't see that helping anytime soon. Thanks!

This is a serious question, please answer with practical answers!

I've adopted 2 cats, they were too frightened to go in their house because of a new big dog that attacked them at every opportunity. Baby cat is really settled here but Pixie is terrified of everything and anything, the biggest problem is that she cannot bear for the door to be shut. I'm going to get a cat flap installed but if I have it set for them both to go in and out, then Baby cat will follow Pixie and then Baby will not settle down. If I have the flap set so that Pixie can get in but not out, she will be frantic. I'm trying to get her used to been in here for little periods of time. Will this panic of the door being shut go away? Is there anything I can do to help her settle and not be scared of the door been shut?

I have a 4 year old manx cat, she is very gentle and soft (and yes I admit I treat her like baby) however recently it appears that her way of communicating is to cry. she cries for attention, food, to go out, if she thinks you should be upstairs, if she wants you down stairs. She recently went into Kennels and while she was a little demanding before than since she came out it has been ridiculous.

Now do not get me wrong I love me cat to bits so only humane answers please. But is there anyway I can shut her up. I have tried ignoring her, but it doesn't work. I CAN NOT do anything cruel (hit, lock out, etc) so please don't make these kinds of suggestions, but does anyone have any suggestions for training - like dog training or child training? Basically to get me cat to stop crying all of the time.
