It's obviously bothering her and making her itch. I have washed her there twice, but she hates that. What can I do on a daily basis to make her feel better? Brush her with a wet comb? She is on a diet but I don't see that helping anytime soon. Thanks!

LOL I have a super fat cat too with the same problem. Here's what you do. Go to your local walgreens and get fish oil caplets. Squeeze one per day into her food. This will control the PRODUCING of more dry skin and the itch. For the current dry skin issue, They make cat bath WIPES. These things are AWESOME. Especially if you have a cat who hates water (don't they all:) Wipe her with the wipes one or twice a day. You may also want to consider switching her to a weight control food such as IAMS. That's what I am trying right now and it seems to be working. GOOD LUCK

Is My Cat Too Fat

My cat is the same. If your really concerned put her on a diet otherwise you will just have to do her washing for her and give her a bath.
I wash my cat because he is to fat (10kg), but I like him that way. Although people may say it's cruel to keep an overweight cat, he doesn't catch any birds or wild life and in my opinion thats being kind to all them and he certanly doesn't seem to mind.

Your right, your cat won't lose the weight overnight.
Follow your Vets instructions in that matter.

As for grooming her, you can by kitty bath wipes at most pet stores.
They are very mild and shouldn't irritate kittys skin.
My Vet recommend these to me after we had our male cat neutered...poor little guy had peed on himself before he came to and the Vet told me to use those wipes to clean him up.

Brush her and wipe her with a wet cloth, don't bathe her or wash her directly with water. Use some warm water to moisten a cloth or your hand and wipe her.

Clean her there anyway and put her on a diet. My cat is too fat too, so you are not alone - she is a BIG cat, but she is still overweight.

i think you should give her a bath everyday and then you should see what you can do about the diet thing so you dont have to give her a bath everyday ....
