my cat crys to get out then i let her out and she moans to get back in like she is scared.ive not long moved she is used to the new place now, but i think a flat might just be a bit strange for her especially with the public access doors she keeps running back in if shes out. i have a litter tray and everything but she used to love going out,is it not cruel to keep her in when she was such an outdoorsey type, plus she is only 5. what should i do.

I want a cat, but I want it fast. I heard that it takes several weeks to get a cat from a shelter. Thats too long for me to wait. I want to have a nice furry companion to play with as soon as possible. I am fully prepared to take care of it, and give it the best care possible. I love pets, so I am very excited about getting one.

I have two cats, about 10 yearls old now (bro and sis). The bro is really, really big (quite fat, but not unhealthily so, says the vet...it's mostly plain old bulk) whereas the sis is really small and skinny (again, not unhealthily so). The size difference is staggering in two cats so closely related.

The thing is the sis actually eats a lot whereas the bro doesn't eat much at all.

Is this uncommon? Thanks!

my 8 mth old cat has stopped pooing in her tray. She still uses it to pee in, but even if we try setting her in the tray when she needs to poo she just gets out and does it somewhere on the floor. It seemed to start when she had a bit of diahorroea and would go in her tray, then wouldnt use it again and would use the floor until we got home and cleaned it up. We bought a new tray in case it was smell (its cleaned out every day as well), and her food is kept in a different room, so i'm really puzzled now as to what to do!

I know she will get over them, but i am more worried about the fact that she is not eating. And she really won't move from where their bedding was.

Hi there! I really want a ragdoll cat. I found a breeder that is trying to adopt out their retired mom cats. That's perfect for me, because I don't want a kitten. I was going to go look at the cat tomorrow, but the breeder upped the appointment to tonight because they are going out of town tomorrow. She said she may not come back depending on if she finds a house or not. That would mean if I like the cat, I'd have to adopt it tonight!

My first question: the breeder wants $250 for the cat. Is it polite to try and talk her down, or is that a pretty low price for a ragdoll?

My second question: I'm going to the breeder's at around 9 tonight, then I have to be at work tomorrow. If I do get the cat, will she be ok being alone while I'm at work?

My cat was shot w/ a BB gun and now she is paralized from the middle of her back down. She is using her front legs to pull herself around but i dont know what to do about the litter box. She was an outside cat and isn't litter trained so I'm a little confused about what to do? I can't put her back outside because my neighbors will just shoot her again and she would never live. What should I do?

I am getting out of the military very soon and cannot take my animals with me. I have 2 kitties. one is black and white and the other is a dark grey tabby with a white belly. this person i work with was going to take them and he called this morning and backed out on me. i have called all the good animal shelters within 3 hours of where i live and they are all full. i really want to avoid taking them to the humane society, because around here the humane societies are dirty and the animals are very sick. they are both male, neutered, up to date on all shots and have both tested negative for things like feline leukemia. I just want them to have a good home. i will provide all paperwork from our vet's office. i am not looking to sell them... i am looking to give them away to someone who will love them as much as i have. I live in Hinesville, GA and am willing to meet somewhere for someone who is willing to take them. This is my last resort.... I have to give them away tomorrow.

I used to really think my cat Toby hated me. I guess not. Every night when I try to go to sleep she knows it. She will paw open my door and curl up into a ball with me. She alternates the sides all through the night, will rub agianst me, purr, switch sides and even try to get under the covers. She will randomly attack my legs while I sleep and wake me up! I swear my cat stalks me. When I wake up and shower in the morning, she will follow me out and come back hop on my bed and sit with me? My cats 5 years old. Whats up with her?

so far today she is acting kinda weird, she had diarrhea this morning and shes back to hiding under neat her chair. not sure how long she hasnt eaten for, so far this morning all morning maybe all night. her babies are still moving around alot. i had a feeling for a while she was pregnant i got her a month and a hlaf ago and her nipples were pink and engorged. now they are white and still engorged. with all this could she be going into labour soon. shes very quiet. sometimes very seldonly she will all of the sudden pant. im just not sure if it is her catching her breath or if she could be in labour or if its just her kittens. i can for sure count 3. please serious answers only. im going to go see the vet in a couple of days.

I have a Kitten named Mr. Ewing. Anyway he was a stray and still tries to get people food. Well today I was making lunch using the stove range and just as a light the burner he jumps up right next to it and catches on fire. Well I grabbed him and the fur almost immediately put itself out. Some of his normally white fur has brown spots from lighting up but other then that he has shows no signs that anything happened. He even started purring when I picked him up and played with his brother when I put him down. Still I'm a little concerned. He did catch on fire if only for a tenth of a second and is discolored. Advice??
