my cat crys to get out then i let her out and she moans to get back in like she is scared.ive not long moved she is used to the new place now, but i think a flat might just be a bit strange for her especially with the public access doors she keeps running back in if shes out. i have a litter tray and everything but she used to love going out,is it not cruel to keep her in when she was such an outdoorsey type, plus she is only 5. what should i do.

If you want to switch her to an indoor cat, which if you are in an apartment is a good idea, then do not let her out at all. She will cry for the first little bit, but she will get used to it. Make sure you play with her a lot to get her energy out.

Besides now you have the wonderful feeling that you have extended your cats life by years, by making it an indoor cat

poor kitty. She's used to new inside but not new outside. It would probably be best to try and keep her inside. When she cries to go out. Try to re0direct her attention with a toy and some cuddles. Maybe even a kitty treat. Good luck

Give her time, and don't let her out if you think she feels unsafe.
Just feed her indoor cat food so she gets her greens and pamper her a little she is probably scared still.
