I used to really think my cat Toby hated me. I guess not. Every night when I try to go to sleep she knows it. She will paw open my door and curl up into a ball with me. She alternates the sides all through the night, will rub agianst me, purr, switch sides and even try to get under the covers. She will randomly attack my legs while I sleep and wake me up! I swear my cat stalks me. When I wake up and shower in the morning, she will follow me out and come back hop on my bed and sit with me? My cats 5 years old. Whats up with her?

Your cat loves you and can't get enough of you. That's the bottom line in this situation. When they are taken away from their mothers, they adopt their human as their mother. If she bothers you while you are sleeping try keeping your bedroom door fully closed. Other than that, it's perfectly normal for a cat to love their human this way.

Ever since I can remember, we always had at least one cat in our house. When I was little, that is. Ever since, I have always had cats in my house. There was a time I had 6 cats, and yup, they all piled on my bed at night. So, it's ok, your cat isn't some insane creature from hell. She just loves her human.

Sounds like she's just being a cat, my cat Toby (male) used to ignore me, now he'll jump up on the bed and curl up next to me or I'll come into the room and he'll be sleeping in the middle of the bed. The random attacking your legs is either you kicked her in your sleep, or she's bored and playing with you. If she keeps following you she's probally just looking for attention.

My 2 cats greet me at the door every night when I get home from work. They can hear me put my key in the door and they come running! And when I take my shower, one sits on the toilet tank while the other sits on the sink. When I do dishes, they both sit by my feet. They sit on my lap when I watch TV. And when I sleep, one sleeps the pillow beside my head and the other is asleep by my feet. Why do they do this? Because they love me! Just like yours loves you!

Well, from her perspective, your job is to pay attention to her, yet you spend all this time comatose at night not doing your duty. She's trying to make you get back to work! And in the morning when you wake up, she's making up for lost time.

Also, some cats are just natural-born bed hogs. I used to have a fairly big orange cat who slept in my mom's bed, and it wasn't all that uncommon for him to practically roll her out of bed.

Try having 3 that do that. She has bonded to you so she wants to be near you. As for waking you up. When you move your feet at night she is most likely playing with them not attacking you.

Poppy does too. I tend to lay in bed all night - that's just where I hang out. And so does Poppy. Preferably nursing under my arm, but if not, she's RIGHT there next to me. Then when I turn out the light and roll over, she assumes HER spot on my left.

a chum of mine continuously puzzled why their kinfolk's six cats ALL had to sleep on him, even as his spouse loved a blissfully unencumbered sleep, waiting to reveal over each and every time she needed. It took him a lengthy time period to make sure out that she wasn't turning on her 1/2 of their twin-managed electric powered blanket! positioned a heating pad below the bedclothes on the nook of the mattress the position you want him to sleep. positioned it on low once you bypass to sleep, and your cat will gravitate to the warmest nook. positioned a be conscious on your bathing room replicate so that you remember to unplug it contained in the morning.

There is nothing wrong with her. She likes you and is trying to be near you as much as she can be. I have three cats at home, Cupid (2½), Vixen (2) and Miracle (5½ mos.).

Cupid loves to sleep between my wife and I, prefers curling up in my wife's lap over mine but will come to me if she has one of the others in her lap.

Vixen sleeps next to my wife, but wants my lap above anyone else's and wants my attention more than she does my wife's.

And Miracle, she sleeps on a decorative table piled up with 2 folded afghans until 3am, then comes onto the bed and pushes Cupid out of the way and tries to sleep between my wife and I up by our faces - after, of course, giving us lots of kisses and licks to show us she's there. Miracle tends to want my wife more than me, but only for "sleepy" things like taking a nap. When she wants play, she comes to me.

Each one is unique and has a different way of showing affection for each of us. Cupid is a big boy that loves to lick and rub each of us, giving "kisses" often. Miracle does the same, but more to my wife than me. But Vixen never gives "kisses" to my wife and will give them to me more often.

Just accept it - accept the love and the attention! She wants to be a part of your life because she really has no one else to shower all that love and attention on. So suck it up and enjoy it :)

Try having 3 cats do the same thing to you. They just like us and want more of our attention. My motto is: cats were made to spoil and my 3 sure are spoiled rotten!
