Kittens to cats would be a good one. But if you want to do something on zoology. You should look into maybe doing research on the differences between the growth of big cats and small cats. And compare the two. Because house cats are not zoo animals.

And this way you can do something with cats, also. I wold recommend Tigers and Cats, because they are both solitary animals. Or leopards. Lions are too social. And housecats are not usually social with other cats.

Hope you get an A.

That would be a GREAT Science Fair Project!!
Why??
Because almost everyone can identify with having cats and kittens in their family, so you'd grab everyone's attention right away.
If you're going to use LIVE animals in your project, please make sure that you attend to all their needs.
As part of your science fair project, it may also be a good idea to have some connection with your local Humane Society (like a sign with contact information or tips on pet ownership.)

Depends on if you are researching the lifespan of one cat or many cats at different stages.

Many cats: Great Idea!

One cat: I think it would only be good if you absolutely love kittens, have lots of time to spend with them EVERY DAY and it's for the long term.

Only if you intend to have the kitty as a long term pet.

Otherwise, get a frog.
