My cat was shot w/ a BB gun and now she is paralized from the middle of her back down. She is using her front legs to pull herself around but i dont know what to do about the litter box. She was an outside cat and isn't litter trained so I'm a little confused about what to do? I can't put her back outside because my neighbors will just shoot her again and she would never live. What should I do?

I would call the cops but i dont know which neighbor shot her and im scared to call the vet because he might want to kill her and she deserves to live :'( She doesnt act like she is in any pain and shes playing like normal. She is a stray that I started taking care of and im attached now. What should I do?

You can take care of her as long as she isn't in pain. If she eats, sleeps, plays and loves normally she isn't in pain. If she just lays around she more than liekly is. As far as the litter box goes. You will have to help her "eliminate" so to speak. While holding the cat over the box, take a warm washcloth and stimulate her backside much as a mother kitten would lick her young. This should help to encourage her to go potty. She may not want to if you are holding her however. If you have 24 hours to devote total care to this cat, you can do it and helo her live out the rest of her life knowing her mommy is the best. If she seems in pai, as much as it hurts, you should have her oput down. You can actually have a vet come to your house and do that for you if need be. Good luck

Have her vet check her out and see if surgery or physical therapy can help to correct some of the damage.
Put the cat in a large crate when you cannot keep an eye on it, and make sure it has access to fresh water and a litter box at all times.
If the cat is unable to keep itself clean or have proper bowel movements, you're going to have quite an ordeal on your hands. You're going to have to cleam up after it and wash it on a regular basis.
Go to a site like http://www.imom.org/fa/ and see if you can get some assistance funding to help pay for the cat's vet services. You may even be able to get a "wheelchair" device for it to help it get around.

You need to take her to the vet, many paralized animals also have atonic bladders, or the inability to contract their bladder muscles. Your vet can show you how to properly express the bladder. Also, you dont know where the bb is lodged. If her spinal nerve isnt severed there is still a chance she could regain some function with the help of steroids or other medications.

First off, you need to take the cat to the vet. If you want to continue to help the cat you my well need medical help. Better to have your vet on your side. If he calls the police then good. The police may already know that there is someone doing this. If your sick enough to hurt an animal, you deserve what ever you get.
Here is a link hope it helps you.

Shoot the neighbors! Some people need to be shot. Have you talked to a vet or call a shelter to get some advise. It sounds like you will need to make a permenant bed in a comfortable spot and change the bedding everyday. Good Luck

shoot your neighbors!!! just kidding, but they do deserve it to do something so terrible to an animal. You should report your neighbors!
For one thing, cats should know automatically to go find some sand to go poo and pee in, so it should be a natural reaction for your cat to want to go to the litter box. I would have no worries, but I would try to find a vet to try to help the cat get around a little easier!
Good luck!

Your vet would be the best one to give you advice on how to take care of your cat since he now has special needs. I feel terrible that your cat had to suffer the consequences of you letting her be an outdoor cat to begin with. When people let their pets out, they know what all can happen to them but they still let them out anyway. How stupid and uncaring. I feel so sorry for the pets that get hurt but not one bit for the owners. You should know better. Shame on you.

This is not an answer to your actual question, but why did your neighbors shoot your cat? If there wasn't a good reason, you should consider going to the police.
If it was some stupid, BB-gun wielding, bratty kid, I suggest cornering him one day when his parents are not around, and shooting him in the eyeball with his own BB gun at point blank range. That will teach him to shoot at inappropriate targets, like someone's pet.

I dont know how to answer your question..I am assuming you already have been to the vet right?
I would sue your neighbors though for destruction of property and call the cops.
