If so, how many do you have? I have two kittens right now, a brother and sister. I am thinking of getting a 3rd, but i don't know if its a good idea. Is it hard to have 3 cats? Do they usually get along ok? I dont want it to be very difficult to take care of them and keep track of them, and i also want them to get along well. Will my two kittens leave the 3rd one out or pick on him or something? Is getting a third cat or kitten a good idea?

It is perfectly fine. I know someone with 3 cats, and they get along great together! Just be sure to introduce them properly. Check out the link below for more tips on new kitties!!!

I just have one right now, Hobbes. I would love to get her a buddy in the next year or two. She's very outgoing and energetic. (I've had multiple cats together before, and they always seemed to enjoy each others company.) As for you getting a third, it depends on the personality of the pair you have. If they're very close and don't have much of a rivalry with one another, they should get along with another cat as long as the new cat doesn't have a drastically different personality or territory issues. There is always the risk they may team up against the new cat and kind of bully him. Well you said you have two "kittens" right now, I'm assuming under 1 yr old. It would be a lot easier for them to adjust to a third cat at this age, when they are not set in their ways yet.

Adding a third cat can change things. It sometimes works, but it also sometimes creates problems because the previous cats don't appreciate a newcomer.

If you can afford veterinary care for all three cats, it can work, but you won't really know until you add him. Make sure you arrange with whomever you get him from to be able to return him in case it doesn't work out. It may take some time for everyone to get used to each other, though.

If all 3 are kittens your chances are better.

If the two you have are living harmonusly, leave well enough alone. If you are a responsible cat owner you know just the visites for routine vaccines can be expensive for two cats, spaying and neutering will cost and if they are injured or become sick, that's another expense to consider. Unless money is no object and you're willing to take the chance on having litterbox problems or behavior problems, go ahead, get another kitten.

I had three cats and they got along great. Sadly I only have one now.
As for your dilema I think as long as the cats are still kittens one more would be fine just make sure you buy another kitten if you buy an adult cat this may cause problems.

Currently have 2 cats..male and female but I did have 2 cats that were brothers. They all got along with each other. Depends if you have the room and the time to give them all equal attention/love.

I have one cat. My husband and I would like to get a second but our cat absolutely HATES other cats. If you introdce them together when they are really young it will probably work out. My brother has three cats and got them all before they were about 1 year old. They get along pretty well but just think of all the food you'll have to buy and hairball puke you'll have to clean up, and poo you'll have to dig out of litterboxes!!! I think one is enough.

I have 10! If you can take care of all of them properly. This means a lot of vet bills for shots and getting them fixed. Cleaning litter boxes. A big grocery bill for cat food and cat litter. I dont know, you are saying you dont want it to be to difficult to take care of them. I think you really should take time to think about it.If you decide to, they should all get along just fine.

I think its a wonderful idea, but I would suggest getting it soon, and getting them fixed or else you'll be having even more kittens, possibly inbreds - animals don't pay attention to whether or not they're related.
As long as you take care of them all properly, and they grow up together, they should do wonderful

I have 2 cats a siamese, named Dash, and a black short haired cat named Shadow. I think getting a third at would be fine if you can give attention to all of them.
