She has always done this before she used to urinate in the litterbox then go in the bath tub to poop was no way of stopping her, since I moved to a new apt. I keep the shower curtain closed & all was fine she done both in the box, now for no reason she pees in the litter-box then comes out & poops on the floor beside the box. My vet can't see any reason for it, she isn't sick or anything like that, she's just had her check-up & is in good health, I've tried moving the box to that spot didn't help ant. I even took her litter-box out of the bathroom & out it in another place but she still only peed inthe litter & done nothing else as soon as i opened the bathroom she right away went in and done her thing, guess maybe I'll have to put up with her silly ways. Any suggestion any one?

(not the one in the pic, he's fine). My other is very depressed. My neighbors had this dog in a pen and she would always sit outside the pen so the dog would bark at her (seriously). Well, they moved and now she just sits over there where the pen used to be. I think she's depressed and misses her dog. What can I do for her?

and its starting to open its eyes. But one of them is ALWAYS shut. What can I do to help open it?
How can you tell if its a male or female
when should it start eating canned food?
when should it be weaned from its mother

my cat has taken to visiting a neighbour who is encouraging him in.If he was a mangy old smelly cat they wouldn't be interested but he is a very handsome Birman with a great personality. How can I stop them doing this . We have asked but they haven't stopped.

ill tell the story just as it happened. Last night I went into my kitchen and a random cat was there eating my cats food. I shouted for it to, quote 'GET THE F OUT' - and it did.

Anyway since than my cat has been acting very odd. She goes around and pops a squat on virtually everything, especially clothes that i havent cleaned yp. (shes doing it right now infact). But wahts strange is that only a tiny bit of pee comes out. Its a small patch of liquid??

She tried to do it on my bed numerous times and I pushed her off. She resisted and made a weird noise (mixture of a growl and a meow)

I thought this may be a territory thing but dont just the bloke cats do this???

My mate who owns a few cats couldnt explain either

(shes about 1 year old, normally toilets outside, and is neutered. Healthy as far as I can tell, and sleeps all the time)

Any explanations?!?!?!???!?!?!?!

Thanks guys

She is not in heat, because she is fixed. She has food in both her bowls, and she has fresh water upstairs and downstairs, her litter box is away from the flow of traffic. She just meows all the time even if I am petting her, she only seems to be quiet when she is sleeping. I love her to death it's just starting to bug me. She meows at everything. Something on the wall she meows, something on the floor she meows. I just don't understand it, I've never seen a cat meow so much!

My cat goes outside a lot, and loves it! I was wandering how far he travelled. Wouldn't it be cool if we could put a tiny camera on his head??? LOL
Anyway, he never seems to go too far though - but I was wandering how far they might go when your not looking??

I have 2 female 13 week old kittens. They both had a head cold about a month and a half ago. The little one has been fine and the cold is gone. The bigger one is just getting over the cold. Now the little one I noticed yesterday that her eye was watery and bloodshot and the rim around the eye is a little swollen and pinkish.
Today, there is some yellowish fluid draining from it, which I assume is mucus. It's also still a little swollen and bloodshot and watery. I looked multiple times and it doesn't look like it got scratched by anything. Can anyone give me some ideas on what she may have? If it's bad enough, I will set up an appointment with their vet. Thanks!

I'm doing a report for school on animal rights and laws, and I need to know what a person who killed/abused/ect. a cat/dog/ect. would be setenced to.

Note; I AM NOT GOING TO KILL A CAT.

I recently lost a cat as he was run over at less than a year old. He was an indoor/outdoor cat on a large farm with a generally peaceful road nearby (and lots of land around our house before you get to the road.) Many people have told me that letting a cat outdoors is cruel, but I don't see it that way. Animals natrually live outside, as do humans. Nothing originally had sophisticated housing, and though there are health risks of a cat being allowed outside, diseases can be prevented. The only thing I'm now concerned about for my other cat is the car accident risk. However, in our farm we've kept totsally outdoor cats before and they've always been happy, lived for 13yrs and 10yrs, been affectionate and had no serious diseases.

What do you think - indoors or outdoors (or a mix of both) considering I do have ample space in my garden and don't live in a city?

If you were to buy a book about cats, which one would you choose:

1. General Cat Health, Prevention and Diseases
2. Emergency and First Aid for Cat Owners
3. Cat Training and Solutions to Cat Behavior Problems

Or would you prefer to have a book on some other cat subject?

Does anyone know how long after I have felt the kittens kicking that she is likely to give birth. She has not started lactating, but is nesting. I know the gestation period is about 60 days, but do not know when she conceived. Thanks. I'm just fed up of waiting!

What is it with cats chasing their own tale?
I have 3 cats. 2 of them chase their own tale. But here is what baffles me. One cat chased its tale and went round and around and around , did some somersaults and maybe even a flip or two, then victory! She caught her tail. But then she bit it so hard she meowed and screamed and I think she bit it again. Does she know its hers? And my other cat, he will put him self in complete danger and risky situations if he for just a second sees his tail whip in sight. He goes absolutely nuts, like his butt is on fire, again with the round and around and around. I don't get it. If it was just for the chase, then she wouldn't have bit herself like it was an attackers tail. If its boredom, well i think the motion sickness would out way that theory in the end. So, why do cats chase their tails?

I have a 9 month old Male Cat. His Name is Socks. I had hoped he would grow out of it, but he has not. He is really aggressive. He attacks the female cat constantly, and is rather ruthless when he does so. he does it out of spite most the time. I recently got a female puppy as well and he is attacking her as well. The Pup is a Black Lab. I'm afraid that the lab might end up hurting the cat seriously one of these times when he attacks her. Should i get rid of him (The Cat) or should i have a vet run some test on him? I Really don't wanna get rid of Socks, but the aggressiveness is getting bad to the point he attacks me as well and leaves scratches all over me. Noone else can touch him unless he knows i'm around or else he will spazz out and attack them. Is this a seirous matter and a dangerous one Or will it calm down once i get him fixxed? I plan on getting him fixxed very soon, just had to wait till i had the money. Please let me know what you think.

My cat's personality changes on different days. Most of the time he is cute, cuddly and well behaved. On good days he will sometimes run around the apartment really fast and jump on all the windowsills, but doesn't knock anything over. Otherwise he's mostly quiet. On bad days, he YELLS to get attention all day long, even when he's fed and I'm not ignoring him. If I try to ignore him because I'm busy, he might bite, although he does not bite hard but he knows he isn't allowed to do that! Sometimes he behaves oddly, like trying to climb where he normally wouldn't because usually he doesn't like cluttered places, and his eyes look very bugged out when he does this. Also at these times he can become suddenly clumsy, running and jumping onto places where things go crashing to the floor. Sometimes I lock him in his cat carrier for awhile to calm him down. This helps a lot at least for awhile. In the last few days I had to do that quite often. Today he chose that place to sleep all day long!
