I have a 9 month old Male Cat. His Name is Socks. I had hoped he would grow out of it, but he has not. He is really aggressive. He attacks the female cat constantly, and is rather ruthless when he does so. he does it out of spite most the time. I recently got a female puppy as well and he is attacking her as well. The Pup is a Black Lab. I'm afraid that the lab might end up hurting the cat seriously one of these times when he attacks her. Should i get rid of him (The Cat) or should i have a vet run some test on him? I Really don't wanna get rid of Socks, but the aggressiveness is getting bad to the point he attacks me as well and leaves scratches all over me. Noone else can touch him unless he knows i'm around or else he will spazz out and attack them. Is this a seirous matter and a dangerous one Or will it calm down once i get him fixxed? I plan on getting him fixxed very soon, just had to wait till i had the money. Please let me know what you think.

The first thing you need to do is to get him fixed right away. It will take a little while for all of the hormones to get out of his system. I have a cat that is very aggresive. I keep spray bottles in the house and when he goes after another animal I squirt him with the pin point spray ( the hard stream, not the mist one) and tell him NO!
He is to the point where all he has to do is see the bottle and he backs down.
I have used the Azmira product in the second link and you can add it to his water. It is a really good product. As far as getting him fixed , there are usually low cost spay and neuter clinics in most cities. You can talk to the humane society, a cat shelter, vets and do web research. Good Luck.

Some cats, just like people, are naturally aggressive. It could just be his personality. I have a very aggressive cat. Even after being fixed he still acts that way toward the other cat that I have and towards other people that he does not know. He can be a very loving animal when he has it in his mind to do so. I have just learned to accept his personality and try to deal with it as much as possible. If you feel like he is too much for you, then it would be best for you and the cat to give him away to a family who is better able to handle him. You should do whatever is going to make you and the cat happy.

GET HIM FIXED!
If you don't have the money find a shelter that will do it for free. Vet's usually volunteer time at the shelters and it's much cheaper to fix him than to care for unwanted litters.
Fixing him should calm him down.
Get a tin can of pennies and shake it when he does something bad. A water gun works but sometimes not as well.
Cat's do play in a way that looks aggressive. As long as there is no bloodshed I would say it's ok and normal.
If this is still not working and he is an INDOOR ONLY cat, try having his front paws declawed. This will take a lot of his remaining aggression away as well as rendering him less dangerous. I don't like declawing but in certain instances it is better than not.

I'd get him checked out first to see if there is anything wrong with him making him act like he does.
And yes, most cats (Both male and female) calm down quite a bit after getting fixed. At least that's what I've experienced with cats.

Getting him fixed should calm him down.
Give it time to take affect, in the mean time make his efforts to attack the other pets in your home as unpleasant for him a possible.
Good Luck.

See how he is once he has his many "I must be king" instints removed. If it doesn't get better, he probably needs to be an only cat, and say as much when you turn him in to any rescue group or shelter.

i think you should take him to the vet beacuse there might be something that he doesn't like or he might be scared around other animals which might be why he is so aggressive.
