I have two cats and they both do this, but one in particular seems to enjoy doing it a lot more. She is constantly rolling around on her back and many times will end up napping on her back. It just seems so odd to see a cat do that. Do they do that just cause they like their back to be rubbed or is there another reason for it?
Thanks.

I am totally devistated as I found my 4 year old cat Bagpuss dead in my back garden on Monday afternoon. She was soaking wet and her fur was all matted, covered in twigs and leafs. I didn't even recognise her as my cat. Her body was rigid, eyes lolling in the back of her head and had a growling expression on her face. She had no external injuries only a small wound under a bald patch of hair. I can't get closure on this as the vet said he did not have the facilities to do an autopsy so I don't know how she died and I keep wondering if I could have saved her had I got there in time. Could this be a case of poisoning? I can't sleep or eat and I'm constantly crying as she was my little baby as well as being the only little pet I've owned. I'm so heartbroken because I don't have any answers about her death. Has anyone else found their cat like this and know what they died of?

It seems to me that a lot of kittens, orange tabbys in particular, have blue eyes to start off with but then a lot of adult orange tabbys have yellow eyes. i also saw a picture of a cat when it was a kitten then what it looked like currently, and its eye color seemed different. Is it just me, or do kitten's eye color change as they become adults?

Usually if something catches a cat's fancy, it just stares at it, not making a sound, then starts fooling around with it to try to see what the hell it is. Why is it that so many cats (if not all of them) stammer and stutter whenever they see a bird flying outside?

My cat was mauled by a dog and has a bad infection from a wound on his belly. Can anyone reccomend something? colloidal silver? grapefruit seed extract? The vet is willing to add natural substances into the mix for healing him. This is urgent. Thank you

i believe that Baby Moses is what is called a hermaphrodite. when he reached sexual maturity, he first became interested in a young female that wasn't quite in her first heat yet, and suddenly he went into heat, and my adopted tom became very interested in him, and they have copulated many times, but wether they have actually succeeded in anything i dont know. i heard of a male cat that was neutered, then got pregnant, and my vet says it is possible...but well, has anyone out there experienced this?

we have a 2 and a half yr old daughter who would adore one, and was very gentle with our elderly cat, and a 3 month old son, my hubby says no more animals, on the off chance that we could ever afford to go on vacation and have to ask someone to watch it, and because he figures two kids is enough of a handful. I really miss having a cat, found it peaceful and mellow and comforting... am I wrong to want to get one, and if not, how do I approach the subject with my beloved? Thanks.

ive been taking care of a stray cat that comes around. the cats around here dont cause any problems. they actually help the kill the rodents. ive come to like this cat and its a very pretty cat. its quite skiddish, but after about 2 months or so its becoming more comfortable around me. ive been able to get closer and closer to it, but its still a little bit afraid. what can i do to befriend this cat?

I live in an apartment and I currently have a very sweet adult cat who is spayed. I have been considering getting another cat for a bit now and I just found out about a woman with 25+ cats who is being evicted (for obvious reasons). She is trying to get people to adopt the cats so she doesn't have to take them to the shelter where they'd probably be euthanized. None of the cats have their shots or have been fixed, which is not ideal, but they do really need homes.

Something else to take into consideration is the fact that I'm a student and I am considering studying abroad for a couple months in the fall. Since I already have a cat I'm of course going to have to figure out some kind of boarding situation and one more shouldn't make that too much more difficult, right?

I'd be interested in any opinions you might have to offer.

My kitty is 17 years old.

She was recently diagnosed with hyperthyroidism, and is supposed to take four pills day and night as well as 4ccs of liquid. (Some of the meds are for constipation, nausea, and anti-vomiting) At first, she would accept the pills in Pill Pockets, but now she will hardly even eat her canned food. The pills are the trickiest, but she also tries not to swallow the liquid.

Any suggestions to help with the pill taking, as well as how to help the constipation, would be great. I've had my kitty since I was a little girl and she means the world to me. She was missing for 9 months and came back to me. She is now a very pampered indoor cat only (she is now deaf) and I want her to live a happy, long life in our second chance together.

Thank you very much for your help. :)

My cat insists on vomiting in my bed, where he sleeps every night with me. It's so frustrating!! Any reason why he would do this? I thought animals never did any kind of business where they slept??? How can i stop him from throwing up in my bed!!

There is this stray DEAF cat that has been hanging around the front yard of my house. I think he has made it a home in the bushes. The cat has grown on me and I've been feeding it.

So here is the scenario...I park my car in the garage and I am worried about backing up and running it over if it walks by the front of the garage. Since it is deaf (can't hear me vocally scare it from behind) I am worried that it'll not hear my car backing out especially if it has it's back turn away from the garage.

I've been backing out pretty slowly in the mean time hoping if the cat was caught by surprise that the tire or the bottom portion of the car will nudge it away.

Every night almost, it comes up and brushes against the sliding glass door up on my deck. It scared the hell out of me at first, but I noticed that it just lays down there and sleeps. I don't know what to do, I called the town but they wont do anything. Should I kill it, or feed it, I mean, I've been told it's dangerous but it looks a little on the frail side. Why is it doing this though, it's supose to be wild...

and spreading it to my kitties at home.......
I have been around a cat that recently was put down due to advanced feline leukemia. I petted the cat a couple of times, before I realized it was sick. But I have held and petted cats that have been around the sick cat and as far as I know those other cats tested neg for FLV.
My 2 kitties are all up to date with all their vaccines including FLV.
