Me? I would lay some food out for it and slowly tame it.. Then keep it..(outside).....If I didn't live in town.
But I am a animal lover.....
It might have been someones pet.. Gosh, if you live in town it would be hard to keep.. I wouldn't feed it then.. It gets feed you can bet on that..(mice, rats, etc..) Just enjoy the view!

don't kill it unless you think it's a threat, and even then you shouldnt do it. if you feed it it will keep coming back. I'd recommend calling the division of wildlife, they can give you better info on what to do, or even take care of it one way or another. I dont know if you live in an urban or rural area, im guessing at least kind of rural. if you think it's a threat, such as its hungry and might eat children or domestic animals, definitely call someone. Ask if your neighbors have been having any problems with it. seeing how it is a regular at your house, it probably has a sense of security there. My only idea to try is to yell at it and scare it off, it might stop coming by if you are consistent. good luck and keep the kids/pets inside at night.

Are you sure it is a bob cat. They are wild cats. I cant see an animal coming to your home every night. Let alone sleeping on your deck. Try getting it into a crate and take it to a vet. He will be able to tell you. He should be able to tell you what to do with it. No dough animal control will come to his call. He sounds sweet. If it is nothing but an over sized kitty. Keep him he sounds like he could give someone a lot of love.

Whatever you do, don't feed it. It is wild- just accustomed to humans- if you tried to handle it, it would try to rip your face off. Another possibility is that someone kept it illegally as a pet, and then let it go when it was too big. There was a jaguar (from SA jungles) loose in the Upper Pen. of Michigan for a year- one of my profs was working on trying to catch it. I know that those aren't native in Michigan!
It may be coming up to your house for the heat as well. What you can do is spray it with the hose/spray bottle when it comes up to the door- just open it enough to put the spray bottle out. That will deter the cat if you do not want it there.

Are you sure it's a bobcat? There is a type of cat called a Manx that has either no tail or a small tail. If it is a bobcat, call your local animal control or SPCA. Don't forget that it is still a wild animal regardless of its behavior so best to not mess with it or feed it and just leave it alone.

Have you tried animal control. I would not feed it, it will only stay. It's a wild animal and can be dangerous. It might be carrying diseases if it looks sick.

Probably it's a domesticated but ferral bobcat. Why don't you feed it for a while? If the cat's really wild, it might just wander off, once it's built its strength back up. Please do not kill it.

Feed it but don't get near it, because it might wanna eat you someday. =P But don't kill it!!! Those things can turn extinct and one day it might be because you killed one more too.
That is soooo cool you have a bobcat!!!
