Yes they do change colors after about 8 weeks. Prior to that they seem to have a hard time seeing anything but bright colors. My first rescue realized at about 5 weeks old that she could see SHADOWS, oh what a fun day it was for her!!!!

Their eyes will exchange over a classes of couple years...yet their eyes could exchange shade around 10-12 weeks previous ...my stepmom's cat's eyes went from blue to gray to now gold and he or she's approximately 9 years previous.....i've got in no way heard of a cat that has blue eyes being deaf..i've got had quite a few blue-eyed kittens and it appeared their listening to grew to become into greater valuable than the different kittens with brown or eco-friendly or the different colour eyes.....

Yes. So do human babies' eyes.
Eye color is determined by the amount of melanin in the iris, and most human and animal babies are born with blue eyes. Over time, their eyes may darken to different colors when the pigment begins developing there.
For this same reason, many human babies are born with blond hair, which later changes to brown.
Have you noticed that if you have a striped cat, the older he gets, the darker his stripes become, or maybe even more stripes will appear?
Also, for siamese cats, they are born without their dark points, and these will develop later. All for the same reason.
If cats live in a colder climate, their stripes/points/colored areas will become darker, too.

Yes. All kittens are born with blue eyes.. After a couple of months, they start changing colour very slightly until they become the colour they are supposed to be. This may be as early as a couple of months or after a few years depending on the breed of cat (and how long they need to mature). Only the Siamese cat was known to retain their blue eyes (which actually darken with age) in the past. There are now ragdolls and birmans etc which also have blue eyes as adults..

Oh yeah, it's very common for cats to start out with blue eyes and then change to green or yellow. This does not happen in every case, but it occurs majority of the time. It is just a natural phenomena.

Yup. Like caucasian humans, the majority of kittens are born with blue eyes, then the color changes as they mature. Except in some cases, like with Siamese.

In my own experiences with cats I would say definitely.
When my parents let my brother and sister and I have a kitten we first named her Silver because she was a solid black kitten with silver eyes. After a few weeks we notices that her eyes were gold, but Silver just seemed to stick.

Well, with Siamese, the eyes are iridescent but they have different shades of blue. All of them have eyes that reflect light, but some glow, others are more matte, some have really shiny eyes.
Sometimes their eyes change with the season and sun. The humidity as well, even their mood...
