Ok. I have 2 kittens both are 10 weeks old, and siblings. Last night when I came home from work I noticed one was in bed still when I came to play with them. Usually they both get up excited, but she just looked at me and meowed. My boyfriend, who lives with me, said that when he got home she was in her bed and didn't play even then, much earlier in the day. I stood her up because he said she wasn't walking right. She wouldn't put any weight on her right leg and she pullled it upwards, so I immediately thought it was broken. I compared both legs, and she was fine with me touching, until it came to the ankle joint, then she meowed a little. No bones were visibly damaged. (and I know I'm not a vet) When I hold her up her right leg is limp, and when she walks she pulls it up. She just goes from her bed to her food, or to play, but sitting down. Has anybody had this happen? I do not need to hear about how I should ask a vet, because right now I am not in the position to do so.No mean comts

If a cat has a litter of 7 or more kittens, how long is the likely (in a natural environment) lifespan of the 7th kitten (etc), considering that the MomCat only has 6 teats to feed her kittens with, and in the first days of the kittens need to be feeding constantly?

Hi! As you probably know, my cat is supposed to have her kittens sometime within this week. Well, she started meowing (not a mean meow) when I was near her. It was like she was missing something kind of meow. After she meowed, I meowed, then she meowed again, and it kept on going on for about 2 min. Then I stopped and she still meowed. Was she having a contraction? Or was she going into labor? Thanks for all yur help! Happy Valentine's Day! :-)

Hello, my kitty was neutered on Monday. I know it is only Wednesday, but he seems "sad" could he be in pain? Where he used to purr ALL THE TIME, he isn't doing it at all now. He plays a little, but generally he sits there and stares at us with those "sad" eyes.

I'm also wondering: What does he feel? Is he "angry" at us? Does he have a clue what was done?

Thanks.

every now and then my cat has a truelt mental moment. she growels hisses, is very nasty and attacks things that simply are not there. the reason i think it may be my dead rat coming back to haunt her is that when having these moments she always runs into the room i used to keep him and attacks the back of the sofa where he used to run. could this be a possibility? i also wondered if it could be the fact that she lost her eye (she used to be a stray) and wondered if this may be effecting her sight in the remaining eye - shes seing dots or something. or is it just simply normal? please tell me any info, little or small. thanks

Ever since I put a flea collar on my cat he runs around and jumps on things like something is chasing him. I don't know what it is but I was wondering if it could possibly be the collar.

My male cat wonders looking for frmales very often. So I am afraid he is going to get hit by a car or something. So we are thinking about getting him fixed, but what do they do to sterilize him? Do they just chop the balls off or is it more humane!

she's quite rambunctious, a bit neurotic, and oh-so-adorable. she was rescued from a heap of branches and palm leaves. she's black with black tabby stripes and stray white hairs here and there. let the bidding begin!

I adopted my cat 2 years ago. He is a neutered bengal and is 6 years old now. From the very start, he has been VERY vocal. He often meows constantly when I'm not physically in contact with him, even if I'm in the same room. He also wakes me up in the morning to be let into the bedroom. I don't talk back to him to encourage him, and I don't know how to stop it. His meows are extremely loud - louder sometimes than a dog bark. Any suggestions on what to do? Fenistil to calm? Water gun? Do dog-barking solutions like ultrasonic noise work on cats? Any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks!

Does it hurt their digestive tract?

He's not running fever. He's eating as long as he feels safe. He hides for no reason. He's not following his regular routine because he's too busy hiding and slinking. I can drag him out and he will sit by me as he normally does as long as I pet him. He lurks around to eat and visit his cat box. This morning I played with him and he was playing with his favorite toy, a stick with strings on it, but he wouldn't hardly leave the "safety" between the chairs. If he was enticed by his toy to leave the safety, he would realize it and hurry back. Finally, I left him there to get ready for work and a little later I went to check to see if he was still there. In this paranoid state, he felt threatened by me, his favorite person, and started spitting at me. He let me pet him but he quickly made his way around me and hurriedly ran low to the bedroom to hide under the bed. I don't understand it. He's not showing any obvious sick symptoms.

My cat has gone mad over the past 3 days. It is puking a green pasty substance continuously. The cat has projected this substance all over and even has high as 5 feet up the walls. Furthermore, is howling noises that sound almost human like. When I try to get close to the cat it gets very angry and aggressive. Its eyes are circling and not normal.

Is possible my cat is possessed? Should I obtain holy water and put a crucifix next to it? I really don’t know what to do. I’d ask a priest to come over but I highly doubt they would believe me or even consider stopping by.

One of my cats kneads her area before she lays down. Or if something is soft on her feet she really gets those claws out there and mushes and smooshes sometimes getting fabric hung up in her nail/grip. Lately when she lays on my chest and stretches, she tries to knead my face. She is purring so loud it sounds like a dog growling, so I know she is happy, but why my face.......and why my furniture.....why ?

My now ex-roommate hated my cat since he would get into her stuff and I think he knew she didn't like him but the last thing he did just sent my roommate who i thought was my friend over the edge. I came from my classes on Monday and I couldn't find my cat and he is strictly an indoor cat and spoiled rotten. When she walked in about an hour later I asked her if she had seen him and she said that she dropped him off earlier in the day a couple miles away from the Apt- since she caught him peeing on her towel that was on the floor!!! I couldn't believe it and at first she refused to take me to the spot and finally she did but he was nowhere to be found. I have been calling the shelter, the vet office. I have made some posters and an ad in the newspaper but my concern is he wasn't an outdoor cat at all. He always had food readily available to him and it just keeps getting colder outside.. do you think I will ever find him and if I do will he be able to live until then?

We got the dog, an 18 month old yellow lab, about six weeks ago. She's very friendly but the cat refuses to come near her (unless she is in her crate). He basically spends the majority of his time under our bed.
Any suggestions on how to speed up the adjustment process? I'm afraid he's never going to come out and meet her on his own.

Okay, I've got to know. Is there anyone out there who has fed their cats nothing but an all canned food diet? I'm SO sick of people telling me that I should switch my cats to dry food so that their teeth don't fall out and I can save some money. I have 2 cats, one will be 2 next month and the other is now 9 months old. They are both on Science Diet canned foods. Nico gets Savory Chicken Adult and Chase gets Chicken and Liver Kitten Formula. They eat 1/2 can 3 times a day. I add a tiny bit of canned pumpkin since Nico's poop was a little soft and Chase's was a little hard. They are both perfectly healthy and I have repeatedly gone over their diets with the vet every time we go and gotten the green light every time. I don't know why I'm letting the opinions of these people bother me so much, I would just like to know if there are any others who are doing the all canned food thing and, if so, have you or your kitties had any problems because of it?

Thanks in advance!
