My now ex-roommate hated my cat since he would get into her stuff and I think he knew she didn't like him but the last thing he did just sent my roommate who i thought was my friend over the edge. I came from my classes on Monday and I couldn't find my cat and he is strictly an indoor cat and spoiled rotten. When she walked in about an hour later I asked her if she had seen him and she said that she dropped him off earlier in the day a couple miles away from the Apt- since she caught him peeing on her towel that was on the floor!!! I couldn't believe it and at first she refused to take me to the spot and finally she did but he was nowhere to be found. I have been calling the shelter, the vet office. I have made some posters and an ad in the newspaper but my concern is he wasn't an outdoor cat at all. He always had food readily available to him and it just keeps getting colder outside.. do you think I will ever find him and if I do will he be able to live until then?

He is a short haired gray cat. After he was neutered he developed a little belly no matter what I did he always stayed a big cat. I just want him back so much! I have caught myself several times just calling for him out of habit and now he isn't there to come.

First of all get rid of the roomate, she doesn't have the brains God gave a garden slug!
Frankly I don't blame your cat, I'd have peed on her towel too.
If your cat is declawed he won't be able to fight back if attacked.
Go to your local humane society and ask them if you can borrow a humane trap...put a can of tuna in the trap.
Also something a friend of mine did when her cat ran out the open door was to take a flashlight out at night and shine it in the bushes...the cats eyes will glow.
Calling him probably won't work because he's scared.
I'll keep you and kitty in my thoughts and prayers.
Please tell your roomate for me that she's an IDIOT!!!!!!!!!
Then pack her bags and put them in the hallway, that girl isn't your friend, she has issues!

It sounds like your 'friend' the one to blame for this so have a talk with your friend and ask if he can imagine having this happen to him and then explain how you feel.
If your cat has thick fur and has not been de-clawed it should be ok but don't forget to keep checking the place where he was last seen and don't forget to keep calling the vets and shelter just in case! Good luck xxxxxx

I'd call the police. That is animal cruelty. Call the shelters and keep looking for him. Put up signs and offer a reward if you can afford it. People respond to $$$. I hope you find him. Seriously call the police and have a report made.

If you have had your cat de-clawed, He won't survive too long. A cats claws are his only defense. If he runs into a real cat, (one that has its claws and lives outside) your cat will be torn to pieces. But he also might be fine and if he was lucky, someone took him in and is feeding him and spoiling him rotten.

oh my god. i cant believe your rooommate did that. i would be so upset if i were you. really, the only thing you can do is to put some of his food and something familiar (like one of your old tshirts) outside near where you live so that it may help him find his way home; and just keep checking shelters.
i am so sorry.

If he's a longhaired cat, he will survie the cold. Cats operate on instinct. He will find food, and if he isn't run over on th eway back, he will fidn you. When he does, find a new place to live.
