Does it hurt their digestive tract?

Humans are the only animals who drink milk after they are weaned. Milk has little nutritional value for a cat and if it can tolerate the lactose (many cats can, a lot cannot) it's OK for them. Mostly cats have always liked the fat in cream and have been given it to drink throughout the ages.

It would be better to use milk made especially for cats if you give a lot and it is not really important for a cat diet. One of my cats likes to lap up some milk from the bottom of my cereal bowl and he doesn't do it all the time.

No one has bothered to research whether the milk might be "good" for a cat or whether it harms them.

Milk causes diarrhea in cats then they get dehydrated. If they get severly dehydrated, they can die. So, yes, milk is very bad for cats. If you want to give your cat milk, go to a pet store and buy some Cat Sip. It's milk made especially for cats. It's in a small light blue carton with the face of a cat on the front.

Most cats are lactose intolerant so milk can cause diarrhea. It is NOT a good idea to give cats milk. You can purchase Catsip ( a milk type product )that is safe for cats.

Yes, little know fact. Cats are lactose intolerant. It will give them diarrhea. I suppose if you give them a very small dose as a treat it wont hurt. But, if you really want to give your kitty a milky treat buy him/her a can of kitten milk from the store.

No! milk doesn't hurts cats but it helps it to develop its babies and grow its width. Milk has all the calcium and proteins which it stores it in it's liver which helps the newborn babies to get their essential needs of calcium proteins and vitamins. So keep feeding it more and more so it gets a big family.
