I have had my cat for a few months now and out of nowhere he has started to cry at 6 am. he has been fixed for about two weeks now but suddenly wont shut up in the morning. Is there anything I can do to make him stop?

He is a very sweet cat and very tollerant. He has never done this before. When she was a tiny kitten she would climb all over him and (play) attack him and he would let her. Now she is a year old and pregnant and the past week since she is close to delivery he has been attacking her. Also do I need to worry about him around the kittens? Also I dont need a preaching about spay and neuter. I am a big supporter of it, I have just had a hard year and time slipped by and she got pregnant before I had a chance to get her in to the vet. She wil be getting fixed as soon as she physically can after the kittens.

I'm currently an American expat in Singapore and while living in Singapore, I adopted a kitten that I just love to death. I will be returning back to NY this year and will be bringing her back home with me. I found that Thai Airways allows pets in the cabin which is my preferred choice for the almost day long journey. I have already checked all the regulations with bringing her into the states and she is old enough to fly, does anyone have experience with in cabin flying with a cat. Do they allow you to feed the cat, the carrier size allowed isn't very large so how do I deal with litter, she's very particular and will only use the litter box, where exactly in the cabin was the cat kept. All information you have would be very greatly appreciated.

I purchased a 10 week old Bengal kitten this weekend and I have a few issues. I did my research on the breed and have 4 other cats so I know about the breed. My 1st issue is that she meows all the time I know it could be cause she does not have her siblings but I am hoping it does not last. None of my cats are very vocal so I am not used to this. Has anyone had any experience with this issue? If it continues, what are my options? Are there any ways to train her not to do this? I know it is a natural thing.
My other concern is this, all of my cats get along with one another so I want her to do the same. All of my other cats are inside/outside cats but the kitten will be inside only since she is purebred. I have tried to introduce her to 2 of my other cats on 2 seperate occasions and she went BONKERS!! None of my other cats were that way. What is the best way to introduce her and when? Any other experience and advice with this breed would be appreciated!!! Thanks

My kitten D (yes that's her real name) loves to eat bread. We got her from a family who could no longer keep her and they warned us that she was rip open bread packages to eat the bread inside. Well, she does....a lot. The only way to keep her from doing this is to hide the bread in zip-loc bags high up. She is 7 months old, spayed, and her bred is ragga-muffin. Is there a health reason why she would be doing this? Is it bad for her to eat bread? Should I make her stop and if so how? Thank you for your replies.

I have a year and a half old male cat who has recently starting urinating on 2 specific spots in my living room, he deficates in the litter box. I know that there is nothing medically wrong with him and need to know how to stop this behavior. I currently have him locked in the bathroom with his litter box as the vet reccomended. Two questions..
1. How long should I keep him locked in the bathroom??
2. Anybody have any other ideas to help stop this behavior??

BTW...I have already tried citrus scented candles, sprays, etc and they didn't keep him away. I also put foil down behind our tv to keep him away from there, which seems to work, but really don't want to put foil in the middle of my living room if i don't have to,

We found him about 5 months ago, and on average he is pretty healthy. I just noticed that he had a worm crawling out of his bottom. He doesnt throw up (my grown cat did, when she had tapeworms) and I have checked his poo because my grown cat had them in her poo. But the kitten doesnt have them in his poo. But she got really sick, lost weight, and my kitten doesnt. The worm kinda looked like a maggot but would turn flat. What kind of worm could it be??? Thank you.

I have a pretty decent size cat (about 13lbs.) and I need to carry him to the vet and I am moving soon. Should I get the soft carrier or a hard plastic one? I was leaning towards the soft just because they look more comfortable for him, but I thought I would get your opinion. Thanks!

My husband thinks our cats are making him sick. He said he hurts all over. I think he is just getting older and can't handle the physical work like he used to. Our cats are inside cats only and are all healthy. We have had at least one cat for the last six years and the rest we've added throughout the years. We have four total.

Hi,

My boyfriend and I have just bought a 3 year old female cat from a neighbour. She's always come running to us for strokes, so when they said they were moving abroad, they asked if we'd like to have her.

Anyway, we've had her for about a week now and it's been a nightmare! This gorgeous, friendly cat we thought we were getting has turned into a hissing, growling one!

She still comes to us and rubs against our legs, wanting a stroke, but at the same time, she's hissing like mad! Then she starts to growl and her ears go flat to her head - which is usually when I've run away! I'm actually really scared to go near her now. She also hisses and growls randomly, even when you're nowhere near her.

We thought maybe it was just our house she doesn't like, but she stills meows like crazy to get inside!

Is this more likely to be behavioral, or down to stress or something?

I have an 8 month old kitten, who seems to be untrainable..For instance,I bought her scratch pads and she refuses to scrath them! When I see her scratching other things such as the chair or carpet I take her to the scratch pad and 'show' her and she literally will stand on it and continue scratching the carpet. Also, I have been trying to break her of her habit of climbing on top of things like the fish tank, or entertainment center and she just doesnt stop. In order to curb her running and attacking others I have implemented a 'time out' for herin the bathroom for a few minutes at a time and even that doesnt work! Just this moring I was calmly petting her and she latched on to my hand, and started kicking with her paws- breaking the skin! My fiance and I really love her and make it a point to pet and play with her but how can we get her to listen?? Thanks!!

There was a lovely stray cat in my neighbourhood, and I used to feed her. For some time I noticed she was not well, she had a serious flu, so I started giving her medication for that. Turns out she had a kidney failure I didn't know about, and the medication killed her. The vet says that the medication I was giving her could not hurt her, that she died because of her kidney failure, but I know that it was no coincidence, perhaps she would have died either way in a few months, and the medication would definitely not have hurt a cat without her kidney failure, but the fact remains that if I hadn't been involved the cat would be alive now, not healthy but at least alive. I am devastated and I can't get over it. Do you think I am over-reacting? And how do you deal with this feeling?

I love my Cat I bought from a shelter 3 months ago. BUT, I was accidently scratched and I was treated for Cat Scratch fever. Now it happened again 2 days ago-by accident. I don't want to get rid of her-my 1st Cat. She is happy and healthy here! If I declaw her will that prevent it or am I just allergic to her? Thanks for any info!
